Michael Moore wants to infringe on traditional parental rights.
In a story on his movie, on 6/23/2004 at about 5:53 PM PT, on CNN, Michael Moore in response to his movie having an "R" rating said this exactly:
"I encourage teenagers everywhere to sneak in and see it"
So what does an R rating mean.
R Rating: From the Motion Picture Association of America = Restricted - Under 17 Requires Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian
How about standard definition of teenager. "A person between the ages of 13 and 19; an adolescent."
I just disagree with this statement he made. He is advocating children to see R rated movies when that responsibility should be on the parents and someone like Moore should not be advocating for them to sneak in.
If he said those over 17, it would not apply as they can see it anytime they want, but he specifically said sneak in.
This was on Paula Zhans Show on CNN, and you can see a repeat of this comment later at about 2:53 am ET, or about 11:53 PT.
I just feel this comment is uncalled for, and shows his lack of caring about what parents allow their children to see.
Had he said he encourages Parents to take their kids without stating the above, no problem.
But he didn't.
IMHO, Moore should apologize for his remarks and retract them. He shows disrespect for parents and should be reprimanded for it.
So what can we do about this???
Regards,
Joe
On the other side of things, we also gave the world Charlton Heston, Ted Nugent, and Tom Selleck.
"I am sure if Michael Moore spawns, it will be asexual."
If Michael Moore spawns it will be Kentucky Fried.
The theater owners will be thrilled....
He wants children to see his movies I say lets bring the babies so they can scream and whine throughout the movie! Bring your kids Protest ! Let them whine and run thru the isle's!
Better yet just bring the kids a half hour b4 showtime and let them have free range of the lobby yelling we wanna see the movie! Let them clog the concession lines , bathrooms and all!
Michael WHO?????
Can you imagine what the media would have said, if Mel Gibson had told kids under seventeen to sneak in to see, "The Passion"? But no one questions it when a liberal does. Must be nice to be held to a lower standard.
Good idea!
And subject him to the same fact-bending he is so famous for.
yeah...and apparently after all the exercise he's gotten from moving french fries from plate to mouth, he's as good at arm-bending as he is fact-bending. (gross....can you imagine 'documenting' him shoveling food into that mouth of his?)
I think he wants them for food.
