Michael Moore wants to infringe on traditional parental rights.
In a story on his movie, on 6/23/2004 at about 5:53 PM PT, on CNN, Michael Moore in response to his movie having an "R" rating said this exactly:
"I encourage teenagers everywhere to sneak in and see it"
So what does an R rating mean.
R Rating: From the Motion Picture Association of America = Restricted - Under 17 Requires Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian
How about standard definition of teenager. "A person between the ages of 13 and 19; an adolescent."
I just disagree with this statement he made. He is advocating children to see R rated movies when that responsibility should be on the parents and someone like Moore should not be advocating for them to sneak in.
If he said those over 17, it would not apply as they can see it anytime they want, but he specifically said sneak in.
This was on Paula Zhans Show on CNN, and you can see a repeat of this comment later at about 2:53 am ET, or about 11:53 PT.
I just feel this comment is uncalled for, and shows his lack of caring about what parents allow their children to see.
Had he said he encourages Parents to take their kids without stating the above, no problem.
But he didn't.
IMHO, Moore should apologize for his remarks and retract them. He shows disrespect for parents and should be reprimanded for it.
So what can we do about this???
Regards,
Joe
He doesn't spawn until the spring.
I think Michael Moore is enjoyinmg driving Bush supporters so nuts that they freak out over any statement he makes. Sadly, this is a sign that Moore is "winning" at driving his enemies crazy.
Yea, become anti-American liberals in other words.
I'm not sure that 15 year olds care a whit about politics and this is probably the last R-rated movie they'd try to sneak into.
I am sure if Michael Moore spawns, it will be asexual.
Pandora's Ox needs to be shoved back into the hangar.
I know at 15 I would have found this moving BORING! At 30, I still find this moving BORING!
He looks to be 9 months pregnant with quintuplets!
hehe! I meant movie. But moving is boring too.
Who? Michael Moore? Isn't he that guy who played James Bond?
I wouldn't wish that on anyone!
Not much of a comparison; compared to Moore, Meatloaf has talent.
This is true!
Isn't this type of thing illegal?
Why doesn't anyone call them on it?
Fatass can "encourage" all he wants; my teenaged daughter knows who makes the rules in our household, and it ain't a "man" (and I use the term loosely) whose belt could double as a towing rope.
