Madison WI "Run Against Bush" Event to be covered by local TV news. Any Madison FReepers for Bush?

This group has been flying under radar for a while: Run Against Bush. I've posted information here about the TV commercial they're filming on June 22 in New York.

There is another media event just ripe for a visit from any interested Wisconsin FReepers two days before that on Fathers Day, June 20.(Wish I could make it.)

Run Against Bush also has "Jog Against Bush" jaunts. As I've commented before, they have no "Run FOR Kerry" shindigs. I wonder why?? Hee hee hee.

I just got off the phone with a reporter from NBC-15 in Madison who will be covering the JAB (Jog Against Bush) THIS SUNDAY, the 20th, at 10AM. The meeting point is the Memorial Union on Langdon Street. I'm figuring if you live in Madison, you probably know where it is, but here are the directions in any case. For all you non-Madison residents with friends in the area, please pass the word on.

Furthermore, if you're interested in getting some local RAB (Run Against Bush) coverage in your particular city, drop me a line and I can give you some of our press materials and pointers on how to contact the media. We have a story people want to hear, and it's fun!

No kidding. I'm vacationing at my sister's place just north of Madison for the next month. Most of the local yokels around here are complete stooges. I saw some idiot with a hairdo the other day that I haven't seen since the ABBA was on top of the charts, and Andy Gibb was a teenage heart throb.

I haven't been to Madison in a few years, but have you ever gone to State Street during summer months. NOW there's a sight to see. It's like twenty-something Hippieville. I could see the fumes of pot vaporizing from their clothes. Besides Berekley, you won't see so many nasty dreadlocks.

seems to give the wrong impression. Maybe it's just me. But I agree, there needs to be a counter to runners against Bush (RAB, short for rabble).

And that's Madison, WI. Problem is, a large percentage of the people you saw on TV work for the State Government. The good news: they stare at their candles all day long in the office, thus doing nothing.

The bad news, of course, is that we PAY them for that.

you should get onto the protest warrior forum website and check under command and control to see if any pw's are planning an operation. just go to protestswarrior.com and click on forum, then command and control. they would probably be interested in joining with some freepers!!
