Madison WI "Run Against Bush" Event to be covered by local TV news. Any Madison FReepers for Bush?

This group has been flying under radar for a while: Run Against Bush. I've posted information here about the TV commercial they're filming on June 22 in New York.

There is another media event just ripe for a visit from any interested Wisconsin FReepers two days before that on Fathers Day, June 20.(Wish I could make it.)

Run Against Bush also has "Jog Against Bush" jaunts. As I've commented before, they have no "Run FOR Kerry" shindigs. I wonder why?? Hee hee hee.

From their blog:

Madison, WI - Get on TV!
I just got off the phone with a reporter from NBC-15 in Madison who will be covering the JAB (Jog Against Bush) THIS SUNDAY, the 20th, at 10AM. The meeting point is the Memorial Union on Langdon Street. I'm figuring if you live in Madison, you probably know where it is, but here are the directions in any case. For all you non-Madison residents with friends in the area, please pass the word on.

Furthermore, if you're interested in getting some local RAB (Run Against Bush) coverage in your particular city, drop me a line and I can give you some of our press materials and pointers on how to contact the media. We have a story people want to hear, and it's fun!

Run Against Bush is spread out, hydra-like, throughout the nation. Scary. All on their web site.

With all of the publicity from the liberal press in Madison (I grew up there, I know...), wouldn't it be great if the WINNER of this race was wearing a "Runners for Bush" t-shirt?

Any FAST FReepers in Madison?

Madison is more behind enemy lines than CT

That place is a close second for the bastion for liberalism in the upper Mid-West

Plus! Why can't we do things that I excel at? Smokers for Bush? I could imagine a massive Kegger and it'd be Beer for Bush...Get some fast cars together and we'll do Speed for Bush...Set a concert up Metalheads for Bush...

Runners for Bush Cmon, lets go here for us normal un-healthy people :)

There is one well known runner for Bush. George W. Bush. He's the only president to have completed a full-length (26.2 miles) marathon.

Read all about it.

Close 2nd? Where would you say is first?

Plus! Why can't we do things that I excel at? Smokers for Bush? I could imagine a massive Kegger and it'd be Beer for Bush...

Works for me & I'll let ya play whatever music you want, cuz it's doubtful you'd appreciate the stuff I'd select.

I think he served drinks for the Viet Cong.

He's a Vietnam war hero, you know.

No, I can't say I knew that. What kind of decorations did the Vietnamese government award him with? Sure explains why he seems to have put forth so much effort on behalf of the Vietnam government.

He served drinks at the Officer's Club? TBarnett tells me he was some kind of Vietnamese war hero, so maybe he was there as some kind of spy & was hoping the drinks would loosen the tounges of any guys in the know who dropped in to have a couple of drinks. Maybe he picked up something useful to the VC government, which is what earned the awards they gave him.

Funny that they're not running "for" anything. What a bunch of losers. The Union is less than 1 mile from where I currently am, but I'm in no shape to keep up with these people. I've got a few miles in me, but that's about it.

".....Any Madison FReepers for Bush?......"

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.............................

I'm not from Madison, but instead from Charlottesville, VA and was web-surfing here on a Saturday afternoon and stopped on the 'Local Access Station'. You know the type. They're supposed to run programming produced 'for and by' the local populace.

For the last hour I've been watching FSTV (Free Speech TV?) out of Madison, WI which is running a program called DEMOCRACY NOW! hosted by AMY GOODMAN.

All I've heard from her and her guests so far is an unrelenting barrage of criticism and analysis of how Fascists like Bush, Cheney, FOX News etc., etc., etc. have taken over the country and are plotting to turn this place, with the help of the "Conservative Media Complex" into a large concentration camp. Furthermore, I've learned that the Right-Wing (Dennis Hastert, Tucker Carlson, Newt Gingrich et al.) will stop at nothing to propagandize the American people.

All THIS with little breaks in between the interviews for pictures of The People marching arm-in-arm in the streets with Peace Signs, lighting and contemplating lit candles, and generally showing their Solidarity against this 'out-of-control War-machine Juggernaut'.

What a freakin' load of unadulterated CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
