A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

MORNING GENTS
Anyone hear any news on Mr. Thomas fate? My suggestion is that the terrorists that they want "released" should be lined up. If Mr Thomas is hurt, they are hurt. If he is killed they are killed. would end this sort of thing in a smart fashion .
Prolly isn't politically correct but I believe it would work
Prayers for him & his family.

Hi Dolly, I'm invoking my shameless "Grammy" privilege and re-posting my Emma's first picture again. Remember, she is six weeks early and weighs a bit over 5 lbs. They have her wrapped in several layers of blankets to maintain her body heat. She looks like a little papoose or a football, but oh so cute.

I'm anxious to get over to the hospital and see her again. She is so delicate and pretty. Of course we knew she would be.
Yes, I start my new church this Sunday. Same United Meth. You know how they love to play chess games with their pastors. We get to move a lot. Being retired has advantages though. I get to stay in the same locale. They call it part-time, but that is simply part-time pay. Kathey actually belongs to one of Jack's congregations. I used to pastor those churches. Jack complains about having to take my left-overs LOL. I was Kathey's children's pastor as they were growing, but back then Kathey and her husband were not going to church. They would send the kids because they lived almost next door to the church. They came to church for the first time the day Jack took over, and they have become his best workers. We have adopted them. They made the statement that they have "his family" and they have "her" family and they have "our" family. They addressed my Mother's Day card, "Rev.Mom". So, Kathey is with me for life. She has already promised to take care of me in my old age. What better friend can one have? She means the world to me. You know how "steady" she is, and how "flightly" I am. She keeps me grounded.
