CLEVELAND - President Bush has a 6 percentage point lead over John Kerry in Ohio, considered a must-win state rich in electoral votes, a newspaper's statewide poll has found.

Bush led Kerry 47 percent to 41 percent among Ohio voters surveyed for the poll, which The Plain Dealer released Saturday night. Three percent of voters said they favored independent Ralph Nader, although he has yet to qualify for the Ohio ballot. Nine percent were undecided.

Washington, D.C-based Mason-Dixon Polling and Research interviewed 1,500 registered voters who plan to vote in November for the poll, which was conducted May 20-25. The poll has a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points, the newspaper said in its Sunday editions.

this says it all about the morons from the left imho

About three of every five people who support Kerry said they favor him because they dislike Bush, not because of who Kerry is.

Still a looooong time 'til November.

But if the poll was reversed, 1/2 the members here would be saying it is over and Kerry will be the next President.

Heard Hannity interviewing a dimwitted stripper a couple of days ago. She could not defend her reasons for supporting Kerry, but she was determined to vote for him anyway. Amazing ignorance

Amazing ignorance.

The perfect democrat voter.

I am amazed that the whole of the democrat party has put all it's effort into electing someone who isn't George W Bush. How could such a large group of adults be so childish as to throw a national fit in their selection of Presidential candidate? It boggles the mind. "We have no plans, no platform, no ideas - but we want you to vote for us because we're not the other guy."

Amazing.

There are SO many reasons why people don't trust Kerry, but for Memorial Day here's reason #1065:
Discarded Decorations Videotape Contradicts John Kerry's Own Statements Over Vietnam Medals By Brian Ross and Chris Vlasto http://abcnews.go.com/sections/Politics/Investigation/kerry_vietnam_medals_040425-1.html
April 26 - Contradicting his statements as a candidate for president, Sen. John Kerry claimed in a 1971 television interview that he threw away as many as nine of his combat medals to protest the war in Vietnam. "I gave back, I can't remember, six, seven, eight, nine medals," Kerry said in an interview on a Washington, D.C., news program on WRC-TV called Viewpoints on Nov. 6, 1971, according to a tape obtained by ABCNEWS. Throughout his presidential campaign, Kerry has denied that he threw away any of his medals during an anti-war protest in April 1971. /...SNIP.../ And in an interview with ABCNEWS' Peter Jennings last December, he said it was a "myth." But Kerry told a much different story on Viewpoints. Asked about the anti-war veterans who threw their medals away, Kerry said "they decided to give them back to their country." Kerry was asked if he gave back the Bronze Star, Silver Star and three Purple Hearts he was awarded for combat duty as a Navy lieutenant in Vietnam. "Well, and above that, [I] gave back the others," he said. The statement directly contradicts Kerry's most recent claims on the disputed subject to the Los Angeles Times last Friday. "I never ever implied that I did it, " Kerry told the newspaper, responding to the question of whether he threw away his medals in protest.

>>...dimwitted stripper a couple of days ago. She could not defend her reasons for supporting Kerry, but she was determined to vote for him anyway.

Perhaps one of her regular customers, some guy from
Chappaqua, told her to vote for FlipFlop.

FoxNews said earlier today that according to some electoral
college predictions, if the election were held today Kerry would win w/ 310 electoral votes (maybe based on Zogby poll?). That's discouraging but this Ohio news makes
me feel better. Pick up those swing states! (The
"predictions" even had Fla. going to Kerry; yuck.
One can only hope the Solid South will again go GOP...
don't forget states like N.H. where Bush won narrowly.
Be sure to win those "close" states!)

Or maybe His Waffleness Himself is a regular.'

It's still early and the media and the haters are firing a barrage of bogus stuff at Bush. "Bush's Fault" is become standard fare explaining the evil in the world. It WILL get old. The "average American" will eventually get sick of hearing it, much as one gets sick of hearing a whiney child. Just give it time, and remember '88.

Excellent! This poll pretty much trashes the other garbage polls last week that came out of Ohio...superior methodology by an acurate state pollster, only 2.6% MOE, 1500 RV's over 5 days to flaten out the one day outliers...nice.

OH should be moved back into the Bush column this week.
