The Iraqi ex-pat connection is new data.

Curioser and curioser; but at least anything that Moorey the Hutt says is a lie, that's one thing we can be sure of.

"I'm very skeptical of this," said Sara Berg, a Virginia attorney whose brother's beheading sparked a global uproar."

This would suggest that the estemed Michael Moore (Palm d'Or, doncha know) might be lying, a suggestion I could never seriously entertain!!

Despite some contradictory evidence, the CIA claims the execution was done by an al Qaeda terrorist, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Huh? The first I heard of this. What evidence? Who are they saying did it?

I don't believe anything MM puts out there. He is just trying to hype his stupied documentary. I hope terrorists kill him.

"The initial story that touched off the controversy appeared Thursday on the online magazine Salon.com."

I seriously believe Michael Moore is nothing more than a habitual liar who has succeeded in garning attention to himself by using sensationalistic fabrications. Hey look, it's worked so far. If people would "ignore" him he'd go away like a deflating blimp in a wind storm. The MOORE you feed the pig the more gluttonous he becomes.

This raises all sorts of conspiracy theories (variations of it have been posted)

However, I am wondering if he was interviewed because of his connection with Moussawi, who had his email address...and the interview was about the Patriot act or the Bush administration questioning "innocent" civilians with ties to terrorism...

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering if the interview story was just rumor. Now I know it's not. And, as has been said before about this whole situation, curiouser and curiouser.

From the article: Moore's terse statement said[:] "It was approximately 20 minutes long. We are not releasing it to the media. It is not in the film. We are dealing privately with the family."

OK, I can understand why they wouldn't release it to the media, who probably wouldn't play it anyway unless it was filled with invective against Bush, which I guess it isn't or it would have made the final cut for the movie. But, don't they have an obligation to share this with law enforcement? Remember the advice of a million murder mysteries: the way to solve a murder is to examine the victim's life. If I were investigating Berg's death, I'd want to talk to Mr. Moore, and see his interview footage ASAP.

>>...So, how would a completely unknown young wannabe contractor like Berg come to the attention of Moore...<<

From Berg's father, of course.

Move-on.org, ANSWER, the DNC...they all are part of an orchestrated anti-America crusade. I don't believe in any coincidences at this point.

Sara Berg said she did not think it odd that her brother would be interviewed for an anti-Bush documentary. "I'm sure Mr. Moore talked to people with all kinds of different opinions," she said.

Now, what grabs my attention is the interview was done, before Nick went to Bagdad. How did MM find out Nick was going to Iraq?

I am now considering that daddy used Nick in Iraq to pass messages without Nick being aware of his role.

If Hairy Fatboy has this footage, the only thing that makes any sense is that Nick was anti-war and connected w/ANSWER. Then the only question would be is if he was working for Fatboy, which would make him open to all sorts of legalities??? How reckless would it be to send an American Jew into Iraq???

Pray for W and Our Troops

Hmmm, things are falling into place looks like Berg was an amiture "player" with very little backup. I wonder who's side he was on?

US population and lack of random selection re Berg being interviewed by Moore.

It is interesting that out of all of the Americans available to be interviewed by Michael Moore that Nick Berg was interviewed by Moore last December:

We may never know the answers, because Berg is dead and Moore says he has no plans to release the interview footage to the public.

Moore won't release it because it gives lie to the fathers contention that the son was pro Bush.

The son was a subversive agent, like the father, and Moore, another subversive, is going to have to give up the tape as part of the murder investigation.

If he refuses, they will throw his fat commie ass in jail.

Well that's sure an interesting statement! What evidence is this writer talking about?
