A group of more than 220 veterans who served in Sen. John Kerry's swift-boat unit in Vietnam are calling on the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate to stop unauthorized use of their images in national campaign advertising.
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which has declared the Massachusetts senator "unfit to be commander in chief," says 11 of the 20 officers in one photo Kerry uses have signed a letter condemning him.
The photo, which includes Kerry, was taken on the island of An Thoi Jan. 22, 1969.
"Of the remaining eight officers in the photo, two are deceased and four don't want any involvement," the veterans said in a statement. Only two of the 20 are believed to support Kerry.

Most of the veterans in this 1969 photo don't want John Kerry to use it in his presidential campaign.
They should be able to legally stop Kerry from using their photographs.
Nice move.
But ,perhaps they do not have a legal avenue or means to do so
If Kerry's using that photo, then the Bush campaign has an excellent commercial in the making. Highlight the dissenters in the picture one by one, and voiceover "Here's Sgt. XXXX, fought in Vietnam alongside Sen. Kerry. Sgt. XXXX calls Kerry 'unfit to be commander-in-chief'. Here's Corporal YYYY,...."
Does anybody remember when Kerry said that a commander in chief who actually served in a war (meaning himself)would be better than a President who didn't (meaning Bush)? So what about Clinton, they worship him for what again?
Even if they can't, the fact that they want to should be pretty damagaing.
If only we had a free press in this country...
I would say that a man who was Commander in Chief in two wars, liberated 3 nations, and got weapons out of Libya would be more qualified than a guy who cried because he got a splinter.
hahahaa! Right on
You'll never read about this in the mainscream media.
thoughtomator has it.
Someone needs to mark up the photo with the individuals clearly marked; "deseased," "wants no involvement with Kerry," actively opposes Kerry," etc. Gray all the faces out until there is only Kerry and his two supporters left.
And mark them "Currently on Kerry payroll..."
FYI.........Stay Safe !

10% of that group backs him. That's a real high number. It's slightly more than the % of votes Bush will get in Detroit.
Also, wasn't it Kerry who, during the '92 campaign, when people were comparing Bush Sr.'s service during the second war to Clinton's non-service (running out) during Vietnam, made the statement that he was saddened (where have we heard that before?) that this would be made an issue in the campaign, implying that military service, or lack thereof, was not really germane to the fitness of an individual to serve as President. Now, he's making an issue of it. I guess Kerry thinks it's okay for him to make an issue of it (especially when he things it will help him politically), but not anyone else. More hypocrisy, more flip-flopping. IOW, business as usual. Will the media bring it up? Not a chance. Will the sheeple care? Not likely.

In addition, it has been reported that Kerry received a commission in the USN Reserves with college graduation which obligated him to serve 6 years in the Navy. He did something less than 3 on Active Duty and owed the remainder as a Reservist, one weekend a month plus 15 days a year. Not only is there no indication he did any of that but, if he tried, his haircut would have forced his Commander to reject his appearance as a Reservist on Inactive Duty.
