President Bush and his team are best when they're on offense. They MUST stop playing defense, or they will suffer the consequences. STOP apologizing.

Let's say they were, does that give American soldiers a green light to retaliate and abuse the Iraqi POW's?
ALREADY ANSWERED.
If we are mistreating Iraqi POW's, what's to stop the Iraqis from playing tit-for-tat. I'm thinking of Matt Mauphin, now a hostage.
ALREADY ANSWERED.
Even if the Iraqis play tit-for-tat, does it still make what those soldiers did right?
ALREADY ANSWERED.

That's why I asked if it was FNC that reported it because they are often wrong about such things...or deliberately misrepresenting in order to gin up ratings.

Broom stick story is coming from a guy who claims torture in the prisons and been released.
His attorney is named Tom Nelson, a self-identified "friend and mentor" of that lawyer, Mayfield, picked yesterday in Portland in connection to the Madrid bombings. Portland freepers report Nelson is acting as family spokesman for Mayfield.
I would not accept his client's story at face value...

I believe it is Vietnam and Kerry, I just can't make it fall into place so it all makes sense.
BTW, MSNBC had some new report on Kerry's Vietnam statements that Lisa what'sherface said will give new ammunition to his "critics," which would be us, I presume.
But I missed what it was.......something about that film of him in Vietnam.......the reinactment.........I believe she said that he has changed the commentary?
Did anybody else hear that?

I think there are still voters who are able to be swayed in favor of the truth. That will never come from the Old Media, but each month they are losing power, so I'm not very concerned about that.
I recall that in '96 stating to a colleague of mine that "it doesn't matter that CBS, etc. maintain that they aren't going to show the political conventions anymore because 'all they've become is an infomercial' since we would soon be able to get all that more directly from the internet."
Old Media was definitely on the way out then, and as of now, it is irrelevant to those who are really the movers and shakers.
