Are Democrats welcome here?
Posted on 05/06/2004 9:09:25 AM PDT by joe_northrop
Is anyone of the Democratic persuasion welcome here, or are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Do any of you know how freaking ridiculous things are getting with George Bush in office? Let's do the list: assaults the environment, rising unemployment, rising gas prices, rising hatred of us across the globe, a phony war with over 700 Americans dead, POW torture, overtime pay almost done away with.....the list goes on and on. It's CRAZY.

Of that's rich. When I was about 16 one of the outdoor cats was pregnant and my sister would sneak her into the house when my dad was not around and pamper her. Well when the time came to drop her litter guess what, yup in MY bed.

The only democrats who have managed to hang around are inevitably females because they are the only dems with the balls and brains to debate. I take some moderate exception to your charge, but I surely do like your sense of humor.
Now, sit.

I would not mind you staying, if you had something worth while and of substance to say. So far, it doesn't look like you do.

Home ownership, especially minority home ownership, is the highest in American history.
I bet that just gets under your skin, doesn't it.

I like Clarke and would happily vote for him. Clarke? The man who has stated that America was founded on the idea of a progressive income tax?

Kucinich's politics are probably the closest to mine Do you also think like Kucinich that President Bush is targeting, assasinating, and murdering civilians?

Atleast you have stuck to it, unlike Dennis who has since apologized for the comment and said it was wrong to say it.
With all this breeding of new terrorists, why were acts of terrorism world wide at their lowest level in over 30 years in 2003?
I believed from the beginning, and still believe, that this war was unwarranted and unnecessary.
Unnecessary? Maybe. As other avenues might have been able to end Hussien.
Unwarranted? It was clearly warranted on many levels. Rarely mentioned to the point of virtually never mentioned is that Iraq was continually in violation of the 1991 cease fire it agreed to. Iraq did NOT surrender, they agreed to a "cease fire." The United States was warranted to "resume hostilities" solely because of Iraq's violation of the cease fire.
Did you support military action in Kosovo? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I believe 9/ll is meaningless in the context of this debate until and unless a clear and convincing link is made between Saddam's regime and the WTC bombing.
You can not find a single post by me connecting the two. Nor is a link neccessary. President Bush has engaged our military in a war against "terrorism" wherever it is found and against all those who support it. Are you of the mind set that Saddam was not an active supporter of terrorism?

If you really believe that this is really the state of play, then you are crazy, or are in deep denial, or evil, which is generally the three states you see liberals living in.
We didn't start the war, for example. There was Beruit Barracks bombing, Somalia, WTC1, Khobar Towers, Kenya, OKC, TWA Flight 800, USS Cole, and then 911 that presaged the war we are in now. In the Clinton Admin, we were at war too, it's just that we didn't want to fight back.
So, which are you: crazy, in denial, or evil?
