Are Democrats welcome here?
Posted on 05/06/2004 9:09:25 AM PDT by joe_northrop
Is anyone of the Democratic persuasion welcome here, or are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Do any of you know how freaking ridiculous things are getting with George Bush in office? Let's do the list: assaults the environment, rising unemployment, rising gas prices, rising hatred of us across the globe, a phony war with over 700 Americans dead, POW torture, overtime pay almost done away with.....the list goes on and on. It's CRAZY.

Since 700+ men and women have died, I'm pretty sure its not a phony war, but a REAL ONE.

are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Why would any myopic, grade-school dropout Democrat imagine there would be anything to learn on FR?

This cannot be a credible question because it's the same laundry list of complaints (albeit, contrived and exaggerated, etc.) every Liberal ALWAYS makes for every Republican administration no matter what or when. Why do Democrats stay trapped in this blind alley of grievances?

You might learn something.

why don't you just make like the wind....... and get the hell outta here!!!

I'm not really a Republican.
I'm an Independant with Neocon leanings and I support President Bush.
That said, a lot of our current hang-overs are Clinton left-overs.
If you are honest, you know it's true.

we welcome reasoned debate. If you make a claim, back it up with facts AND sources. FReepublic is big on sourcing one's points.
Now, this IS a conservative forum, so you may get bounced -- as is the right of the operator. But stick around and give it a serious try.
Stay away from hyperbole, strng adjectives, name calling etc.
Sadly , you will get some rude responses, but work with the reasoned members and ALWAYS cite a source to back up your claims and positions.

Democrats are welcome, as long as the disavow the former slave holders of their party and the KKK Members of the party in the senate.

It would help the length of your stay to pick one or two points and present logical reasons why you believe them. Posting a whole list of talking points with no proof will get you nowhere. There are a few that have been here a good while trying to defend their points logically. So it is possible... just unlikely.

Sure Democrats are welcome, as long as they are reasonably polite and have something worthwhile to say. I don't think you're off to a very good start, though.

A reasoned debate is always welcome. However, you are only going to parrot the DemocRat daily talking points.
So the answer is yes, they are welcome, but we'll make an exception for you. See you later, Bush hater.
