Shakeup At Air America Radio: CEO and Program Director Out
Radio About ^

The Associated Press is reporting a shakeup in Air America Radio's top management.
Mark Walsh, has stepped down as CEO of the new liberal Radio network and its Program Director, David Logan, has been put on "administrative leave".
According to the AP, Walsh said, "he gave up his CEO title earlier this month but will continue to pursue deals for Progress Media." Progress Media is the parent company of Air America Radio.
There was no further clarification as to why Logan was no longer actively programming the network.
In the interim, Air America Radio is being run by David Goodfriend who is the company's lawyer. Goodfriend worked once as an advisor to the F.C.C. but reportedly has no other direct radio experience except for a one-time job as a DJ in Beloit, Wisconsin.
Taking over, at least temporarily, as Program Director is Lizz Winstead. Winstead is a host for Air America Radio and is also the co-founder of Comedy Central's "Daily Show".

I continue to predict that Air America will be totally off the air not later than July 1st - no one of FR will take the bet!

Yah tink?
I watched a meeting on CSPAN and those dinkts don't have a clue. Its difficult for them to descend to the level of their sheeple in order to energize the base! They want everything handed to them on a silver plate.
GOOD LUCK!

There was no further clarification as to why Logan was no longer actively programming the network. I'm guessing it's because his overnight success went to his head and he is no fun to be around any more.

This is just too darn funny! A comic is taking over eh? The whole thing is a joke!

Goodfriend was last to leave after delivering the closing argument.

A radio station run by a lawyer, Oh that should work
just fine.
I think some of these folks have just realized that the
cream is about gone and the rest is 2%.

Did they call it "Air America" because "Air France" was already taken?

I guess they weren't very prepared after all, if they've fired their program director and CEO already.

To be honest, I think they'll keep pumping in money and assinine attitude until the election proves them to have 'misjudged', to have 'underestimated the evil represented by the VRWC', or to have pi***d away their funding in order to assure a better shot for Hillary in 2008.

Air America's CEO said some, well, typical things about the drooling, inbred listeners of conservative radio, like this poster. I must paraphrase, but I think that we were characterized as "captive" listeners. You know, these people just descend more and more into madness with their statements. Don't they even care?
