WASHINGTON -- Vietnam combat records posted on John F. Kerry's campaign website for the month of January 1969 as evidence of his service aboard swift boat No. 94 describe action that occurred before Kerry was skipper of that craft, according to the officer who said he commanded the boat at the time.
On the site, the Massachusetts senator is described as the skipper of Navy boat No. 94 during several actions in late January 1969.
However, Edward Peck, who was the skipper of the 94 before Kerry took over, said combat reports posted by the campaign for January 1969 involve action when he was the skipper, not Kerry. Peck, who was seriously wounded in fighting that took place on Jan. 29, 1969, said he believes Kerry campaign aides made a mistake in claiming Kerry as skipper of the 94 at that time.
On the Kerry website, the report of the combat on that day on the 94 boat is posted as occurring during Kerry's time as skipper of the boat. Peck said Kerry replaced him after the Jan. 29, 1969, event.
"Those are definitely mine," Peck said, referring to the combat reports that the Kerry campaign posted as representing Kerry's action. "There is no doubt about it."

It's hard to believe someone is low enough to steal another man's war record, knowing he is still alive and able to refute the obvious lies. No one could trust this low-life as president. He would be worse than Bill Clinton and almost as bad as Hillary.

March 17, 1969 The policy of Coastal Squadron One, the swift boat command, was to send home any individual who is wounded three times in action. After sustaining his third wound from enemy action in Vietnam, Kerry was granted relief under this policy. This is Brinkly's/Kerry's spin. Kerry had to initiate a request to leave and there is no automatic approval. I haven't seen the actual regulation, BUPERS 1300.18, which was cited in Kerry's records. Anyone have a primary source for it?

I'm not saying that (politics aside) he is absolutey detestable, but he clearly lacks the common touch
He's getting pretty close to detestable for me. It seems clear that all this guy's out for is himself, money and power.

A few months ago (IIRC), some of the guys who served with Kerry in VN made statements about Kerry hitting them up for recommendations for medals. That would have had to be later (after they were out of VN). It seems several agreed to sign the recommendations for commendations just to get Kerry to quit bugging them.

I am beginning to wonder ,if skerry was actually ever in Vietnam. We all know his character or lack of it.
If, there was a way to go about padding the records to make it appear he went to Vietnam , when he actually did not, It would have been done. He may have been in Moscow with his buddy Bill Clinton.

Well then, If Kerry was not the boat commander until late January, 1969, what was he doing when he got his boo-boo in December, 1968.

Peck said he was the skipper of the 94 at this time and that Kerry was not on the craft. While combat reports show several boats traveling with the 94, the campaign website says only that Kerry was the skipper of the 94 and does not try to place him on the other boats. Incredible.

In the case of the Boston Globe and John Kerry, familiarity definitely breeds contempt. This is amazing that the Globe and Kerry would not be like Eleanor Clift and Clinton.
Must be something in the caviar.

Kerry's commanding officer, George Elliott, said in a telephone interview that he vividly recalls Peck's injury and hospitalization and Kerry's replacement of Peck. "I think somebody made a mistake who doesn't know" the timing of Kerry's service, Elliott said. Kerry was skipper of boat No. 44 in December and January before taking over command of the 94, he said. The only mistake "somebody" made was thinking that nobody would notice the slight of hand they attempted.

I find this story absolutely incredible! I have to wonder if John Kerry has difficulty distinguishing between fantasy and reality?
I knew a guy when I was young who would hear a story about something someone else experienced and tell that story later as being his experience. It's becoming apparent that John Kerry has done this same thing. Kerry testified to Congress in 1971 about things he did not witness, or experience. He later claimed to have committed some of the same war crimes as those he described in 1971, like for example, "The burning of Villages"..... Was his Swift Boat outfitted with a flame thrower? or did he leave his crew in the Swift Boat when he went ashore and set fire to these villages?
I think John Kerry is a deeply disturbed man
