Does MTV have to give equal time to the Bush Campaign?
Is this free airtime considered a campaign contribution?
To: SMGFan
I believe they are required by law to give equal time to Bush. But, it's kinda like Cheney appearing on Rush. Kerry could get equal time, but he will pass. Which is what Bush should do with MTV.
MTV is a joke on this. Once again, 18-24 year olds will not vote in record numbers. MTV's impact on youth and politics is pathetic.

OK, that does it. My cable provider will either quit holding me hostage to pay for MTV and their liberal agenda, or I am going to find an attorney and slap a class action suit against them.

They'll stack the dreck, er, deck with pseudo-intellectuals, sitting around as if they are in a coffee-house meeting. Then, they'll shove out some slut to act as if Kerry is the sexiest thing she has ever seen.

"Choose or Lose: John Kerry" Special Only losers choose Kerry.
To: SMGFan
Have you seen the commercials on TV where they have 18 year olds (I would guess) talking about voting, and they have a number board above them? One guy says something like "if our elected officials can tell us whom we can marry, I'd better vote and use my voice" and on the numbers board the numbers go up one. I haven't got the words exactly right, I'm sure, but you probably get the idea.

This is an incredible chance for kerry to make a complete ass of himself with little or no effort. Wait until he pulls out his guitar and tries to impress them by being: Kerry Unplugged. No way are they going to get out of bed, get dressed, and stand in line on Election Day for Mr. Jiggy Fly of Massachusettes.
