I believe they are required by law to give equal time to Bush. But, it's kinda like Cheney appearing on Rush. Kerry could get equal time, but he will pass. Which is what Bush should do with MTV.
MTV is a joke on this. Once again, 18-24 year olds will not vote in record numbers. MTV's impact on youth and politics is pathetic.

From the "yout"s of america, Mtv does not hold the sway it once did. Since it had gone rap, it basically abdicated any of the less democrat party oriented audience.
I believe all parents should V-chip MTv on all tv in their house. It is why you have MTV. Many cable boxes also have blocking ability and the blocking may even be communicated to the cable company. Imagine cable companies knowing 1/2 of all subscribers block MTV. That is hard for advertisers to accept.

MTV's impact on youth and sex and drugs and personal responsibility is also pathetic, for a different reason.
