Hello all,

Let me introduce you to what I am doing. In my history class, we were assigned a project to do a movie about an event in American history. Now, my teacher is one of these left-wing whackos who bashes the President each time he gets a chance to, yet he calls himself a "centrist" (you've got to love these people). Anyway, instead of coming up with some stupid life in the 60s video which a group wanted me to be a part of, I decided to do an individual "short documentary" (7-8 minutes, so it's not really a real documentary, just a summery) on the events of September 11th and beyond.

I don't want to hold back. So far, I have footage of the WTC attacks, footage of the Pentagon, and a clip where President Bush is giving a speech. As well, I have footage/pictures of these "anti-war" people and some of their anti-American messages. A fellow student even sent me a clip of a man jumping out of a window of the WTC and suggested that I use that to show people what kind of hell these victims were going through.

What I'm asking from you all is if you can contribute in any way. Be it a video clip, pictures, a quote from our national leaders, or any other advice. I really want to hit home with this and wake people up to what happened that day because some of these kids (and adults) have truly forgotten what happened that day and what is at stake today.

This video is for educational purposes only. No money is going to be made off it. Thus, I believe fair use issue of Copywrite laws are at use. Either way, every source I use will be documented in the film credits.

The "cartoon" you posted is profound. What a sad picture of the selfish nation we have become. So self absorbed, consumer minded, and some think freedom is a right with no responsibility on our part. The "Greatest Generation" had it right, and I salute them.

I blame some of this on the Clinton administration who did all they could (and still are) to divide us. Once we are united, there is nothing this nation cannot face or do.

The best video I saw was made by two French brothers who were making a video of NYC firefighters on 9-11. One went to the world trade center with a crew which responded. During the taping you see firefighters in the lobby of one of the towers. Occasionally, you can hear loud thuds as bodies hit the lobby roof which extended out from the building.

The firefighters getting out of the building and the two brothers eventually finding each other was very dramatic and impactful.

CBS ran the video in the US.

You might check with ABCNews...their correspondent John Miller was (AFAIK)
just about the only American journalist to get a personal interview with OBL
(a year or so before 9-11).

Miller was on ABC's 20-20 for awhile (IIRC), but he's now been sort of a terrorism
expert/spokesman for Bratton (head of The Los Angeles Police Dept.).

Other than the patriotic music, the music which had the most impact on me was Billy Joel "New York State of Mind."

I have a video shot from a C130 Gunship. It's an enemy engagement in Afghanistan. The C130 totally destroys a group of terrorists over the span of about five minutes. Vehicles blowing up, bodies flying, it's pretty radical. You can probably download it from Kazaa. It's titled AC130_gunship.wmv

That would make a nice ending, IMO.

The end of that documentary as the photos of the lost FDNY and police were shown
(groups of four?) with the Irish tenor singing mournfully in the background
("Danny Boy", IIRC)...talk about men gettin' their hankies out.

Included in the photos was Freeper "BCM", Battalion Commander Moran.

he was on the way to becoming a US Citizen.

I sent the video to my friends in France. The daughter is a volunteer firefighter in their village. It wasn't shown in France for another 8 months.

Thanks for that link. I was a lurker back in those days, but I know I did not lurk that day. The posts of that day bring back some really dark and sad memories. The minute by minute awareness of what was happening is astounding, even now. I am so tired of all those who have forgotten. They are nothing but selfish pigs!
