SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Former television talk show host Rosie O'Donnell said she planned to marry her longtime girlfriend Thursday in San Francisco, where more than 3,300 other same-sex couples have tied the knot since February 12.
Appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," O'Donnell announced she would wed Kelli Carpenter -- two days after President Bush called for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

Her actions are very indicative of the liberal mindset. She is oh so much more important, than the rabble in line ahead of her. So for the sake of the safety of the crowd I am sure, she will go to the head of the line, and make things right with the entire liberal world.

The Rosie story doesn't surprise me, but I was taken aback when I heard that Tom Cruise plans to dig up and marry the corpse of Liberace.

Why fly from New York to San Francisco when she could have driven to Massachusetts? That was my question this morning, when I saw the announcement on Fox News, and I think I have an answer. The whole gay marriage story has lacked for one thing, a poster child. If Gavin Newsom were hauled away in handcuffs, the news media would quickly make him the victim of the anti-gay marriage forces, but the officials in CA have been wise enough not to make him the martyr. Besides, he's not gay, and the media really wants a gay or lesbian person for this role.
I predict that there will be numerous celebrities, and other famous people lining up in MA for wedding certificates, but Rosie needed to be at the front of the line, so to speak. By being willing to go through the "illegal" but still allowed SF marriage line, she assures her place as the first celebrity to buck the system, and would like to see herself go down as the Rosa Parks of this era.
It must have been tough for her, losing her magazine after pissing off everyone who was producing it, then having the court case end in a draw. Also, that wad of money she blew on the Boy George musical must have left a few psychological wounds, nothing like fresh publicity to salve the pain.
Right now, there's a struggle between Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton for the title of preeminent black leader, and the top job in the gay community is still up for grabs. Rosie's thrown her hat into the ring as a contender. She knows the media wants to put a face on this struggle, much as they used Martin Luther King, Jr.'s back in the Sixties. If you oppose gay rights, you should be cheering Rosie on for this self-awarded title.

Chicago is next -- Mayor Daley said so yesterday. Let it spread like wildfire -- the only way people will get to see the reality of the leftist, homosexual agenda. To date, the media handmaidens of the DNC are simply calling Bush a "bigot."
Give them some more rope.

She's off the market, gals. Rosie is now married!

The wedding comes a day before California's attorney general is set to file a lawsuit that may end the controversial weddings. That was my first thought when I heard this on FOX News: "Which one is the bride?" Actually, my first thought was "Which one has the pen..."; um, better not go there.
To: Lady Eileen
Rosie also said "sitting president", sounds like somebody still has a 2000 grudge.
So what will the headline be:
Rosie attacks Bush
Rosie Bashes Bush
Bush Makes Rosie Rush to SF
Bush Steams Rosie
Rosie down on......
