[history]
February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

Found that, thanks.

Vel read the links to Cindy's post #1905. I guess with our country's situation the FBI would be called in on this joyride.

Still mulling over "dog disease". Do you recall seeing the CNN video of the dogs being slowly killed by some kind of chemical, at an AQ training camp...I wonder what that chemical was?
To: Calpernia
No they are not. I've said this on these threads before. I got the same information from Fort Sill the same day Sean got his from Washington. More source has NEVER leaked info to me before. Which is why I think it was meant to be leaked.
LOL. Somewhere amidst the thousands of posts, I missed that one. Thanks for clarifying.
Have you since heard anything new from your source? PsyOps is certainly a logical explanation. Here's hoping we'll soon see Osama's hide hanging out to dry.
To: TexKat
FOX News (Shepard Smith) Just reported that the FBI has been called in.

"CNN releases videotapes, allegedly made by al-Qa`ida, showing dogs being killed by unidentified toxic chemicals (experts believe either a crude nerve agent or hydrogen cyanide gas is used)."
Now, to google hydrogen cyanide gas...

Only that one time leak. He did say it would take at least 3 weeks for the announcement to come out.
All communications since have been normal.
Mind you, he did not leak the Saddam capture when it happened. So this leak was unusual and I suspect intentional for the reasons stated.

Interesting question.
It's often been suggested that AQ purchased radioactive material from the Russian "Black Market"...i.e. the good Russian government had nothing to do with it, rather, the fault lies with scientists and criminals out to make a ruble.
Now, the same is being said of the Iranian nuke material. It also appears to have properties leading to it being acquired in Russia---but once again, the criminal/black market excuse given.
The more I read, the more I come to believe that Russia knew exactly what Iran and AQ were up to.
So if a nuke- of whatever type- goes off here, aren't they partially complicit?
To: jerseygirl
Miami was the only one I questioned. IMHO Seattle or Chicago seemed more likely targets.

I wish we knew the truth. I'm figuring that they wouldn't have continued repeating for Muslims to leave NY,DC, and LA if those cities weren't on the hit list.
However, if they could sabotage the Indian Point reactor, and cause a meltdown, they wouldn't need any "nukes" in the NY metro area.
Do we have any more information about the validity of their threats?
One thing that Sean said that really troubled me was that these initial threats were only to set the stage for the use of the nukes.
One nuke plant melting would cause incredible devastation. If it were Indian Point, there would simply be no way to evacuate all the people affected.
It leads me to wonder if our leaders are under trememdous pressure to initiate pre-emptive action. But where could they direct it?
I do think the speedy Haiti move is a cover for handling Cuba.
And I think the forces in Pakistan aren't there to find OBL- they are there to secure the Paki nukes from extremists.
Just a thought. What do you think?

I just looked this incident up again two days ago to see if anything new has come up. The guard is now almost broke from trying to pay lawyers. Nothing has been mentioned whatsoever about the shooter in the white truck with the ME accent!!

That was our friend (NOT) Abu Khabab or Midhat Mursi who ran that camp in Afghanistan experimenting on dogs for AQ. Nothing has been mentioned of him either in quite some time (since January) He was supposed to me in Mexico or even in our country alread.
