I wish we knew the truth. I'm figuring that they wouldn't have continued repeating for Muslims to leave NY,DC, and LA if those cities weren't on the hit list.

However, if they could sabotage the Indian Point reactor, and cause a meltdown, they wouldn't need any "nukes" in the NY metro area.

Do we have any more information about the validity of their threats?

One thing that Sean said that really troubled me was that these initial threats were only to set the stage for the use of the nukes.

One nuke plant melting would cause incredible devastation. If it were Indian Point, there would simply be no way to evacuate all the people affected.

It leads me to wonder if our leaders are under trememdous pressure to initiate pre-emptive action. But where could they direct it?

I do think the speedy Haiti move is a cover for handling Cuba.

And I think the forces in Pakistan aren't there to find OBL- they are there to secure the Paki nukes from extremists.

Just a thought. What do you think?

In my opinion I believe they have been checking out our nuclear plants since way before 9/11. They have been here all along and are easier to target than bringing in their own nukes.

Their threats are just that - threats and no more. They serve to put us on edge and cause distrust of our leaders, which is exactly what they want - psy-ops - as we've discussed before.

We know they are here in numbers and IMHO I believe they do plan to attack us eventually, but in what format remains to be seen. Could be suicide bombers, could be car bombs, could be worse, but again, that could be tomorrow or some unknown date down the road.

If they have nukes or suitcase nukes, which is possible, either we have been very lucky or they do not have all their ducks in a row yet.

Regarding Haiti, I personally don't believe it has anything to do with Cuba. That's a whole 'nother ballgame. I've been to Haiti and it is a wretchedly poor country. I would have no hesitation calling it a third world country. Also, it is not the only island country with political unrest. It does share the "island unrest" scenario with Cuba. It also shares immigrants desperately trying to escape with Cuba.

Pakistan is anyone's guess. They are flaunting us with sales of killer products to rogue nations, threatening India, providing safe haven for known terrorists, and cultivating friendship with countries that would like to see our faces rubbed in the middle east sands. Political unrest there is a grave matter and I hope we have elected the correct President in the coming months to deal with that issue.

A real meltdown could affect a 400 mile radius easily.

And it could still be the 'nuke' is caused by a 'nuke plant' not nuke the way we imagine

"I do think the speedy Haiti move is a cover for handling Cuba. "

Wow...would we need to go to this extent? Wouldn't we have plenty of other sites in the area to use for supply and troop coordination if needed? It seems like a hornet's nest but that might be a perfect smokescreen.

Where on the island of Cuba is Gitmo located?
