True. And unlike most of us, this person has taken an oath of office that they most likely violated.

"This has no relationship to civil disobedience. This is an ELECTED civil servant bureaucrat (in other words the GOVERNMENT) refusing to follow or carry out the law, not a civilian disobeying the law.'
Absolutely! As I indicated, they think this is civil disobedience aka. the sixties, but of course the fact is this steps ups to criminal acts by officials sworn to uphold the CA constitution. I'd be a little more concise but I'm enjoying my dinner while keeping up with the posts.

The Mayor Of S.F. Heard the President's speech where the President mention marriage in passing. The mayor got the bright idea to press the issue by issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples,
Not quite correct.....the birdbrained mayor was invited to the State of the Union Address, by ms pelosi and heard what the President of the United States said and decided to so his best to f*&k the United States of America and issue false marriage licenses to fools and pretenders that claim they are human. We are not sure yet that those that received the said licenses are human. They seem to think that they are, but can't reproduce?? They are wondering what reproduction is?? Well, let's just let them wonder. or wander....forever in the forest....maybe they will watch rabits?

Response to my email
Thank you for your email to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Governor
appreciates hearing from concerned and involved Californians, as well as from
individuals all over the world who have an interest in California.
Governor Schwarzenegger is committed to restoring your confidence in state
government. As the Governor has said, with hard work and your help, California
will once again be the "Golden Dream by the Sea".
Due to the unprecedented number of emails sent to the Governor, there may be a
delay in immediately responding to your email. Please know that the Governor's
office is making every effort to respond to your inquiry and will ensure that
your voice is heard by the Governor.

I meant, they are REALLY going to start cracking - as in crevasses in glaciers. I am no prophet (not like the real Jeremiah) but people - especially leaders - cannot flaunt criminal, sinful acts like this, and force others to kowtow to them without repercussion.
Nature's laws - and the Author thereof - is not a wimp.

I have posted this information elsewhere, but it is very relevant to this topic, and supports your statements. Here, in their own words, are the reasons "gay" activists want same sex marriage:
(and, suprise, it's not because they want to live in holy matrimony!)
"Homosexual activist Michelangelo Signorile, who writes periodically for The New York Times, summarizes the agenda in OUT magazine (Dec/Jan 1994):
"A middle ground might be to fight for same-sex marriage and its benefits and then, once granted, redefine the institution of marriage completely, to demand the right to marry not as a way of adhering to society's moral codes, but rather to debunk a myth and radically alter an archaic institution... The most subversive action lesbian and gay men can undertake --and one that would perhaps benefit all of society--is to transform the notion of family entirely." "Its the final tool with which to dismantle all sodomy statues, get education about homosexuality and AIDS into the public schools and in short to usher in a sea change in how society views and treats us."
Chris Crain, the editor of the Washington Blade has stated that all homosexual activists should fight for the legalization of same-sex marriage as a way of gaining passage of federal anti-discrimination laws that will provide homosexuals with federal protection for their chosen lifestyle.
Crain writes: "...any leader of any gay rights organization who is not prepared to throw the bulk of their efforts right now into the fight for marriage is squandering resources and doesn't deserve the position." (Washington Blade, August, 2003).
Andrew Sullivan, a homosexual activist writing in his book, Virtually Normal, says that once same-sex marriage is legalized, heterosexuals will have to develop a greater "understanding of the need for extramarital outlets between two men than between a man and a woman." He notes: "The truth is, homosexuals are not entirely normal; and to flatten their varied and complicated lives into a single, moralistic model is to miss what is essential and exhilarating about their otherness." (Sullivan, Virtually Normal, pp. 202-203)
Paula Ettelbrick, a law professor and homosexual activist has said: "Being queer is more than setting up house, sleeping with a person of the same gender, and seeking state approval for doing so. . Being queer means pushing the parameters of sex, sexuality, and family; and in the process, transforming the very fabric of society. . We must keep our eyes on the goals of providing true alternatives to marriage and of radically reordering society's view of reality." (partially quoted in "Beyond Gay Marriage," Stanley Kurtz, The Weekly Standard, August 4, 2003)
Evan Wolfson has stated: "Isn't having the law pretend that there is only one family model that works (let alone exists) a lie? . marriage is not just about procreation-indeed is not necessarily about procreation at all. "(quoted in "What Marriage Is For," by Maggie Gallagher, The Weekly Standard, August 11, 2003)
Mitchel Raphael, editor of the Canadian homosexual magazine Fab, says: "Ambiguity is a good word for the feeling among gays about marriage. I'd be for marriage if I thought gay people would challenge and change the institution and not buy into the traditional meaning of 'till death do us part' and monogamy forever. We should be Oscar Wildes and not like everyone else watching the play." (quoted in "Now Free To Marry, Canada's Gays Say, 'Do I?'" by Clifford Krauss, The New York Times, August 31, 2003)
1972 Gay Rights Platform Demands: "Repeal of all legislative provisions that restrict the sex or number of persons entering into a marriage unit." [This list of demands also included the elimination of all age of consent laws.]

Yes, I see, you are referring to God's forthcoming judgement on the unbelieving and disobedient/rebellious/God rejecting world.
I was referring to society/ the world getting more and more evil/rebellious/ pagan/ wicked/ in the run up to the judgement.
both are certain!

Kerry is more than wishy-washy on this. He's lying.
Kerry favors "gay marriage". But he's politically astute enough to know the American people don't. So he's pretending to oppose "gay marriage". But it's all pretence, because he's opposed to doing anything to stop the courts from imposing these perverted "marriages" on the nation.
His excuse for opposing the Federal Marriage Amendment is that he supposedly believes in state's rights. That's pretty ludicrous to begin with given that he opposes state's rights on virtually everything else. He also voted against the Defense of Marriage Act, which guarantees state's rights on this issue. So how can he claim to support state's rights when he voted against and denounced as "gay bashing" a law to protect state's rights on this issue?
He's lying. He favors "gay marriage"!
To: wadeintothem
Willie Brown's right - what the Democrats want they will get with the courts on their side unless the U.S Constitution is amended to stop them.

Like Rush said the Dem leaders are trying to camouflage themselves to keep us in darkness...But it is not working...The Dem followers are revealing their true colors.
To: Brilliant
I'm of the same opinion as Rush, that let's have the liberals have their fun, their moment in the sun so to speak. In the process they are turning off swing voters across the country by confirming the Democrats' reputation as a party of kooks. When your enemy is in the process of destroying himself, just stand aside. The American people can see through the BS about gay marriage and draw own their opinion about these urban liberals.

Even if someone isn't a religious believer, common sense tells the same thing. You remove and destroy the very foundation of cilization (as opposed to less-than-animal life) and civilization will fall apart. Stands to reason. The only reason I can think of that liberals don't see this is because they want society to get destroyed*, or they are so totally blind to reason they are psychotic.
*Socialist state, anyone?
