Can I demand that California honor my full Texas Second Amendment rights under the 'full faith and credit' clause? They would have to allow me to bring in my AR-15, allow me to carry concealed, and allow me to own silencers. Can I huh? Can I?

Why don't you get a whole van load of folks, including kids and dogs and go on down to the City Hall and en mass apply for a "marriage license". If they want to deny it, ask them to explain on what grounds are they denying you your civil rights?

Not likely. SF might demand it. But the state has failed to recognize the marriages.

What exactly do Californians have in common with Americans?

Believe it or not, most of the people in California are good God fearing people. Unfortunately, most of the stupid people live in the coastal regions which have the highest population.

I'm in Orlando. The mayor of Orlando could not get away with this. The people of CA might vote one way at the polls. But no one is willing to stand up to these nuts.

Full faith and credit clause cannot compel a state to break it's own laws.

As a San Diegan I am sad to see my state make such foolish errors and to be dimissed by posters on this column. Many of us are horrified by what is going on and are hoping someone (are you listening Governor?) will step forward and stop this mess. Being denigrated by fellow conservatives doesn't help. The people involved in this political ploy are not Californian, they are liberals. More accurately, they are San Francisco Democrats. (many thanks to Jeanne Kirkpatrick for coining that term)

THIS ACTION IS NOTHING BUT THE RAPE OF THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE, BY A SMALL, PERVERSE GROUP OF LIBERALS, AIDED AND ABETTED BY CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND JUDGES.

corruption is often thought to involve money and favors, but the true definition involves morals. Merriam-Webster defines corrupt as:

1 a : to become tainted or rotten b : to become morally debased
2 : to cause disintegration or ruin

These corrupt politicians and judges are the result of 30 to 40 years of liberals laying the groundwork for a complete subversion of society.

The current manifestion in San Francisco didn't just pop up over night. They have been working on this for years.
The "human rights initiatives" or "equal protection laws"passed in the past decade were promoted with just this in mind. Under the resonant terms "human rights" and "equal rights" the spade work was done to destroy our society. To rip open the ties that bind us.

However, when they saw the reaction of the rest of society to the events in Massachusetts they decided they had to act now, or risk the door being closed on them. So they made the break now that they have been leading up to for years.

So far it is working. Unless someone, or some group, is willing to stand up for our institutions, they will be destroyed by those claiming they only want their rights, they want an end to discrimination, etc. They will use our values against us.

And make no mistake, the leaders of this movement are NOT interested in expanding marriage to include them, they are interested in destroying marriage, families, religions, morality and values. All so they can live their perverse lifestyle and recruit others into it.

I am not a religious man, but God help us if we don't stop this.

Can you give me the Cliff Notes

The Mayor Of S.F. Heard the President's speech where the President mention marriage in passing. The mayor got the bright idea to press the issue by issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples, got him great press but has the RATS running in circles because they fear the wedge issue. The gays are being so strident that they are demanding that other states recognize the marriages in defiance of some state laws and the federal law. This is of course all headed to the Courts.

The only remedy will be a Constitutional Amendment, the old RAT answer of let the states decide is being shredded before their very eyes. The CA voters voted (62%) against gay marriage and it probably will be overturned by the courts.

The joke is that the Gay Couples modified the Marriage licenses to meet their individual peculiarity's by doing such things as changing "Husband" and "Wife" to something neutral. The State only recognizes a standard form and is threatening to send the licenses back unrecognized.

They can't possibly think that will work, do they?

That A** Wipe Brown has a lot of nerve citing "full faith and credit" CA doesn't even give full reciprocity for licensing of CPA's from other states even though the CPA exam is a standardized national exam. They require CPA's from other states to jump through all sorts of extra "hoops" just to get their precious "blessing".

Full Faith and credit my A**

Is there any way we can force parts of Kalifornia to secede from the union??

Let's give San Francisco to Mexico.

The someone who needs to stand up are you me and everyone else who is disgusted by what is happening. The people who are now trying to tear down the foundations of this country were elected. We have voices and votes. The question is: if not us then who?
