Well everyone, I'm back with an urgent prayer request for yet another tiny baby. I don't know what the outcome of this will be, our Lord knows, and only He can handle this situation.
My niece Ann and her husband Mike were married this past September and became pregnant on their honeymoon. They found out last Tuesday during a doctor's check-up that something was not right with the pregnancy. She went in the next day for an ultra sound and found out the baby is severely physically handicapped. He has a disease that will not enable him to live out of the womb.
The doctors gave them the choice to abort the pregnancy, but they could NOT do it. Ann said she could NOT stop a beating heart.
Ann and Mike named their precious baby Matthew Paul. He's almost 23 weeks "old". The little guy is moving around in the womb, his Mommy can feel him. She may or may not be able to carry this pregnancy to term...this is all in the Lord's hand.
The bottom line here is one of three things....Matthew will NOT make it to term, or he WILL make it to term but still not live, OR our God will heal him in the womb. We've all heard of cases where the doctors HAVE BEEN WRONG, urging an unnecessary abortion. I don't have an answer ... none of us do. I DO KNOW that God is an AWESOME GOD and is able to use this baby and his parents in a mighty way.
My friends, we prayed for another baby and look how that turned out. I beg you to pray for Ann, Mike and Matthew.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you again, on our knees begging you to heal a baby whose chances are mighty slim. Lord, we KNOW that You're the Great Physician and can heal whomever You wish. We also know, and acknowledge, that Your "yes" is not always OUR "yes". Please Lord, give Ann and Mike the spiritual, physical and emotional strength to go through with the remainder of this pregnancy. Lord, please give every health care provider YOUR wisdom. Please let Your words be their words. Please let Your decisions be theirs. And Lord, if it's Your will that Matthew not spend time with his parents here on earth, we thank you for that, too. We know that he will see YOUR face, he'll stand before YOUR throne, and for that we thank you. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.
Prayers for this very special little life...
I'll let you all know, tomorrow night, when I hear something.
God bless you all for praying. PLEASE keep it up!
I'll take the third option, please dear God. But whatever the outcome Lord please make your presence known.
I pray that all works out- may baby Matthew have a long and happy life.
Heartfelt prayers for the family, BG. Hang in there! (Of course, I know you are.)
Prayers on the way
Thru the grapevine news is all I have for now....she was induced last night but it didn't "take"?????? or whatever the technical term is. The doctors told her she could go home where she'd be more comfortable....and to return this morning.
So......again, when I hear something, I'll ping everyone.
Keep praying!!!!!!
I hope & pray that everything goes well today.
OH BG,
I hope and pray for the BEST this day~
She must be so tired of waiting.
Prayers~

OK...Matthew was born last night!!! ALIVE!!!
My nephew received a call around 3:00 this morning, he called me around 8:00 this morning, and we're both assuming since we've not heard otherwise the little one is still alive!!! This is SUCH a miracle!! Thank you LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And thank you to all of his prayer warriors!!!
All I know is Matthew was a little over 5 pounds. For the life of me, I can't remember what I was told as to the actual time of birth.
When I hear more...I'll let you know. So....we had a huge prayer answered here. His parents DID GET TO HOLD HIM ALIVE!
Thank You LORD!
Waiting here with bait breath for more news. ;-)
Thank you for sharing the good news! More prayers lifted for Matthew!
I forgot to mention.....I have to go back to work now so I won't be able to respond till later.
Sorry...
THANKS everyone!!!!!
Thank God!!
Oh, BG, that is such wonderful news.
My thoughts are with the little one and his family. As my Nonna used to say "Che sera, sera." Whatever will be, will be. I wish them all the best.
Continued prayers BG. Please keep sending updates.
Thanks for that wonderful news! Will expect updates soon, ok?
Praying in the meantime.
