Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco has violated California law by Marrying Same-sex couples in San Francisco. It is patently unlawful to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples. Section 308.5 of the California Family Code plainly defines a valid marriage as being limited to one man and one woman. Furthermore, California Penal Code section 115 prohibits the knowing procurement of any false or forged instrument to be filed or recorded in any public office, making such an act a felony punishable by up to three (3) years in prison.
The Mayor of San Francisco is giving the middle finger to the State of California and the United States as a Whole. To make it worse, Mayor Newsom and the City of San Francisco has stated that it is suing the state of California, challenging its ban on same-sex marriages on constitutional grounds. By doing so, Mayor Newsom is proposing that every law that was not a constitutional amendment is un-enforceable. If he is not arrested, there is no basis for drug laws, the carrying of concealed weapons, prostitution, and every other law that is not written into the constitution of the state of California.
Please arrest this man.

What happened at Klamath is inspiring...I just signed the petition. WELL DONE- i wish i'd been involved.

ok...my answer is that i don't think about people who have sex with animals.

Under California State law, police MUST take under arrest those arrested via citizens arresst.
However, more often than not, police refuse.
You need to get their badge numbers and videotape them refusing -- they either never refuse or remove their badges.
To: AuntB
yes, apparently i am "part of the problem"...you apparently had some bad legal experiences, and that's too bad. but for the record, i pretty much agree with your last post.
To: abraxas_sandiego
The tragedy in Klamath Falls came about because of a bunch of corrupt lawyers and judges.

oh god...what a one-track, bitter, mis-informed mind. you probably won't say, but i gotta ask...what experience did you have that has left you so jaded on lawyers?
To: abraxas_sandiego
ok...my answer is that i don't think about people who have sex with animals. I don't think about men who what to have sex with men either. But, the subject is forced upon me continually. Homosexuals are no longer willing to go about their dirty business quietly, they have taken on the "in your face" approach. I'm sick of it. I don't want to hear about it. I don't want to see it and I don't want kids exposed to it.
Now, I've asked you three times (or is it four?) to answer a simple question and you refuse.
The reason I asked it is the same reason you refuse to answer it. You are aware to the blatant contradiction in your argument. It is logically indefensible. That is why you resort to the same tactics of Leftists who argue logically indefensible positions.

I heard it on WABC 770am NYC talk radio either on the hour or on the half hour.
A man who is involved in the anti-homo marriage protests in San Francisco was on the news just after the WABC reporter.
(paraprased):
"They are arresting us for protesting those breaking the law but not those breaking the law......"
I believe it was during the Rush Limbaugh Show 12noon-3pm, before Sean Hannity came on at 3pm ET here in Connecticut.
I wish I could give you more details.
If I had been prepared, I could have made a quick audiotape, loaded in a VCR cassette, captured the short WABC audio clip in a 30 second WebTV email "clickable" attachment, emailed it to one of my alternate email accounts that displays it as .wav URL, uploaded it to my servers, and posted the audio clip as a "clickable" .wav file here on FR.
CA, VT, NM, IL......
Barney Frank was concerned about CA.
This paints the democrat party as ignoring established law by fiat and executive orders of a Mayor in San Francisco and Chicago, and by in orders of a dinky clerk in NM.
It establishes the democrat party as knowing and willing "partner and companion" of lawbreaking government officials promoting these bogus "homo-marriages" and of the radical homosexual groups that are participating in these illegal "homosexual marriages".
3% of a tiny minority will cost the democrats a ton of votes this November.
There is a reason why Barney Frank is against this and is panicking on the major media saying this must stop.
So much for "the rule of law".....
Now if a Mayor suddenly issued an Executive Order that all non-criminal US citizens could purchase a handgun with no waiting period, background check, and be given the right to carry it concealed........
How long would it take for a state or the feds to act to stop it instantly?

If you were mayor of San Francisco, you'd pander to the gay community, too. Newsom almost lost to a Green Party challenger last November, so he's doing this to win over leftists. Apparently, it's working.
To: Coleus
It has to take off on itys merits...and the people have to see it and be aware of it
We can help by emailing notification of it to our email address books, pinging it on FR and other forums, and then asking others (on our email lists, on the forums, etc.) to do the same.
That's what happened on the "Depict the flag raising at the WTC the way it actually occurred" petition. Using FR as a base, it quickly spread and garnered 300,000 signatures in a few weeks amd definitely impacted the oputcome and decision in that particular case.
And it hasn't stopped. To this day it gathers signatures. It is now over 422,000.

I'm taking my two children and I'm going to marry them. That way, at least they are covered under my company's insurance policy. When they turned 18, the company said I could not insure them anymore.
If I marry them, they get covered just like the lover of queer 1 (queer 2) gets covered.

The Mayor broke the law, he needs to be charged.

Personally, I'm ready to sign the petition to recall Attorney General Bill Lockyer for being MIA. As Tom McClintock rightly pointed out on the radio two days ago, citizen groups should not be the ones having to defend the state law.

I just saw a clip of Newsom on O'Reilly. He said that somebody tried to pull a citizen's arrest on him yesterday. Anyone hear anything on this?
