OUT OF AFRICA: KERRY PREPARE RESPONSE TO MEDIA PROBE OF RELATIONSHIP

**Exclusive**
Democratic presidential frontrunner John Kerry is planning a response to a DRUDGE REPORT exclusive which first revealed the frantic behind-the-scenes drama surrounding a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry!
The nature and details of a claimed two-year relationship, beginning in the Spring of 2001, between a young woman and Kerry is at the center of serious investigations at several media outlets.
After being approached by a top news producer, the woman fled to Africa, where she remains, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Unlike the Monica Lewinsky drama, which first played out publicly in this space, with audio tapes, cigar and a dress, the Kerry situation has posed a challange to reporters investigating the claims.
"There is no lawsuit testimony this time [like Clinton with Paula Jones]," a top source said Thursday night. "It is hard to prove."
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head.
Kerry is scheduled to appear on IMUS IN THE MORNING on Friday. Later he is scheduled to join General Wesley Clark, who, in an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."
Reporters who witnessed Clark making the stunning comments marvel at the General's reluctance to later confirm they were spoken -- only to later endorse Kerry for the nomination!

I have listened to Imus from time to time, and I agree he gives wimp-ass interviews -- NEVER covers controversial issues exxept in a corny, try-to-be-humorous fashion. This is unfortunate, because he has some great guests on his show -- (which is probably why..). Anyway, is this moron (and that vacuous deviant Stern) all that passes for talk radio in New York? If so, it's no surprise the Liberal infestation has reached critical mass there.

Having lived in both the North and South, this picture proves Treeless' one immutable law: people from the North, especially Mass., are so much uglier than Southerners.

I feel exactly the same way. And did you EVER think you'd sit around and have Robert Reich explain to you what YOU should think about the Vietnam War???? Amazing. Let's test what we saw, since I don't know what you saw:
How many Democrats did you see trying to make the link that Bush lied about his DUI, he lied about his NG service, he lied about WMD, etc., so he cannot be trusted -- and "this election is about trust"......and it's about national security and who can you believe?".......and of course, the words "war hero" three million times!
Am I even close?

If the Clintons are behind this, Kerry has no chance. Seems a lot FR folks are giving the Clintons too much credit. They are not infallible super-human jedi-knight ninjas of political wizardry. They have failed as many times as they have succeeded.

I showed the "intern" picture to a friend of mine who is an Aggie who got a Harvard MBA. I said that I thought that all of the women were plain to ugly. He said that by Boston standards these women were knockouts and that of course compared to Texas women they were dogs.

Would you have made the same argument regarding WJC?

Since talking head shows are run by producers, the hosts really have to follow the topics given to them and avoid the topics the producers don't want seen or heard that evening.
It's my opinion that even the most liberal hosts tonight were dying to discuss the Kerry story. Even liberal hosts are news junkies like we are and love a hot topic to opine on. They must have been busting at the seams.
It's the producers and network bosses that held things off tonight, not the commentators. All hosts were gagged. Rush said today that after Drudge broke the Monica scandal, it was four days before the mainstream media uttered a word about it. We're seeing the same thing now. Rush said it may be four days again, or more, or less.
Some in the media elite have to have time to figure out how to cover the fact they've been sitting on this story for over a week, almost two, as a matter of fact. Were they protecting Kerry?
Rush gave other reasons for the media blackout, including a more minor fact that some networks are just jealous of Drudge and would rather commit hari-kari than repeat the story he posted on his web site right away.
What I was trying to get across in my post above was the goofy feeling I got tonight with the TV heads knowing about the potential scandal, me knowing about the scandal, a lot of the country knowing about the scandal, and yet....it was the story that dared not breath its name all evening long.

I'm tempted to go every once in a while but it is SCARY over there. I don't agree with everyone at FR but you never get the sense that people here are crazy.
Speaking of which, I just saw a new (to me) moveon.org commercial with Bush talking and a lie detector shown on the screen responding. Is the sum total of the Dem's campaign going to be to yell "Bush Lied!" as a response to every topic?

It would be great if you emailed this to Bernard at Imus.

You could mail the whole kit and caboodle to Imaidiot and he would not ask or do anything to "upset" Kerry. He's an idiot that just follows the DNC talking points for the day.
