We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Each Hero of the
Peoples' RevolutionViet Nam War is entitled to treatment of choice for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, however likely not from his 4 month tour of duty in country, but rather from all those treasonous (some while still in our Navy) anti-war peacenik protests with Hanoi Jane & Co. funded in part by the Soviet apparatchiks and apparatdudes freely operating across elites' "campi".
Harry Kerry is just another Dem-Politburo egoist, undermined by a possible Clintons' leak. Clark stepped aside so that Hillary can step in as Savior of the Party, the Nation!
Kerry's Euro-$ophi$ticated wife should be able to trade this indescretion away for a chance to be Fir$t Lady of the Peoples' Republic, USSA.

"Who leaked it the Clintons, or is Rove opening a can?"
Rove doesn't have to stoop to trash like this. The Dems are good at eating their own. They do it time and time again. It was only a matter of time before something came out. Afterall, the candidates have basically reserved their negative comments for the President. Of course this is being pushed by other Dems. Who has more to gain at this time? Certainly not Bush, and I doubt he'd ever let Rove or anyone else close to him go after this kind of stuff.

Time? AP? ABC? Washington Post? The Hill? All these sources knew about Kerry's affair with an intern and didn't report it. Thank God for Drudge.

To me, this makes me even prouder of GWB, because if there was any notion of infidelity you can guarantee the media would have been all over it.

IT MIGHT BE A 20-YEAR OLD!!
http://www.watchblog.com/thirdparty/archives/000780.html Rumor: A Kerry Affair & Push Polling
Rumor has it that John Kerry (D) is going to be outed by Time Magazine next week for having an affair with a 20 year old woman who remains unknown. The affair supposedly took place intermittently right up to Kerry's Fall 2002 announcement of candidacy. At present, this is nothing more than a rumor; and after such sordid tactics as the "push polling" that took place in South Carolina in the 2000 elections, can such rumors be credible during campaign cycles? Could this create a Democratic backlash against Republicans for perceived scandalmongering?

are the networks saying anything yetNo clue. I live in Scotland and don't have a telly ;-)
Rush is saying it was a Clinton job.

"Clark, the only other veteran running has dropped out. That leaves the draft dodging Dean and non military service Edwards. After having made military service the preeminent feature of their candidates candidacy, what the hell do they do now? Exactly! In fact, exit polls consistently showed total lack of confidence in Edwards re. experience & ability to fight war on terror. And the endless harping on the National Guard stuff will hurt Edwards big time ( picture McAwful trying to do a 180 when asked whether National Guard service trumps NO SERVICE!!!! ). Comon' back, Howie - we miss you!

Wouldn't surprise me if the RATS try to blame Bush/Rove for digging this story up.
