Kerry's Anti-War Record Discussed at White House Briefing
2/10/2004

Posted on 02/10/2004 2:56:29 PM PST by Jeff Gannon
This was the exchange at today's White House press briefing, much of which focused on George W. Bush's service records with the National Guard.
JEFF GANNON (Talon News): Since there have been so many questions about what the President was doing over 30 years ago, what is it that he did after his honorable discharge from the National Guard?
Did he make speeches alongside Jane Fonda, denouncing America's racist war in Vietnam?
Did he testify before Congress that American troops committed war crimes in Vietnam?
And did he throw somebody else's medals at the White House to protest a war America was still fighting?
What was he doing after he was honorably discharged?
MR. McCLELLAN: We've already commented on some of his views relating back to that period the other day. And, obviously, this was a time period also when he was going to get his MBA at Harvard. But the President was certainly proud to serve in the National Guard.
TERRY MORAN (ABC NEWS): And would the White House consider those actions by Senator Kerry, that Jeff mentions fair game in the political season?
MR. McCLELLAN: Terry, I think -- I know that that's a way to try to draw us into a Democratic primary that is ongoing.

Very nice.
It needed to be said...

Ramsey Clark. He's so tight with Kerry that his name was featured quite often in "The New Soldier".

So, just like Clark got the Michael Moore question, Kerry should get the Ramsey Clark question.
To: OldFriend
Kerry ain't a @#^@# hero.
Damn that pisses me off every time I hear it. When that jerkoff was in DC siding with Fonda, my old man was over in the middle of all the action.

Congratulations, Jeff. That you got a rise out of that twit, Terry Moran, is superb. This whole phony issue of the President's National Guard record is insulting. This is a President who stood up to nearly the entire world in an attempt to protect the American people and prevent any more 9/11's. He did what he thought was right and necessary, not what he thought would play well in the polls.
After everything that's happened these past three years, to insinuate that George W. Bush is a coward, dishonest, and someone who shirked his duty to his country as a young man is worst than gutter politics. It is assassination by bloodless means.
Sometimes I get so furious about this sort of slimeball tactic by the Dem/left and the willingness by many on the right to play along and pile on that a perverse part of my nature kicks in. At those times, I want to throw up my hands and yell:
FINE! Let's all turn the country over to another Vietnam-era hippie, anti-war leftist, globalist dolt who'll go around apologizing for America at every stop, and who'll beg the "international community" for permission to wipe his ass after he poops. What Bill Clinton did to this country apparently isn't enough. We have more work to do to prove to the Osama bin Ladens of the world that we really are a paper tiger. We need more Osama bin Laden types on video laughing at our weakness and plotting our destruction.
Sure, fine, all you Republcans, "real" conservatives and perpetual fence-sitters, go ahead! Show just how craven and callow you are. Abandon this President, who's done nothing to deserve it. Go ahead and put Jane Fonda's 60's eara soul-mate in the White House. Drive a stake through the heart of this experiment called the United States. Just don't ever expect me to agree with you, or to ever forgive you, or to ever again support any one of your causes or complaints. Take your harangues elsewhere, 'cause I ain't listening anymore.

OK. By "our guys" I wasn't limiting myself to the WH. So, the WH takes the high road from strategic reasons or whatever - fine - as long as someone besides Rush is blasting these creeps. We need some pit bulls on these TV news shows to expose Kerry for what he is. Now. Not later after he is some declared nominee. Now. Perception becomes reality for many sheeple who get their news from CNN. I'm fed up with our side being clueless on how to recruit, train and groom people to go on these shows and fight to influence public opinion. We're fighting leftists who have essentially learned communist propaganda tactics and we still respond like it's the 1950's.

Lots of folks did their part against Jane. When LLBean began advertising her workout tapes thousands of us called and the video tape was pulled from their catalogs.
We must not let this generation forget what Viet Nam was really all about. How the pols let us and the world down. How hundreds of thousands died when we cut and ran from what should have been a just war.
And a special thank you to your dad!!

I'm a big fan of Talon News, also, I try to check it every day. I run a yahoo group for Pennsylvanians to re-elect Bush and Cheney and Talon is always on top of all the current issues and none of the nonsense you have to weed through in the mainstream liberal media.
Go Jeff and Go Talon News!
