Tune up "old sparky." The death penalty was invented for crimes such as this one. Whether or not it deters others, it certainly will deter the perp and there is no more fitting penalty for him.

I'm local (15 blocks from the entire story and dodging satellite news trucks all week) and trust me. We have a few good reporters. They are on top of this and there is no deal.

Condolences to the Brucia family.

As a father who raised his precious daughter (only child) alone from the age of 18 months to adulthood, I have a particular empathy toward girls. Can we blame liberal judges for this one? Sure we can!

I remember walking the beaches arond here as a kid. Now you have to have a magnetic swipe card and the owner's or HOA's blessings. And Jerry Springer's permission at that exact same beach. Or Marilyn Manson's. Or John Travolta's.

You did not understand what they were getting at I understand exactly what the poster was "getting at", it was just a stupid assertion, just like the one you just made with that statement.
and I'm not going to bother tracing the conversation for you, but trust me, I get it, you don't.
I don't generally mind arrogance like you are displaying, but it would be really nice if you had some intellectual basis for it. The poster made a statement whose content was foolish in the context of the only philosophical realm (judeo-christian theology) where it would have any meaning at all, thus making the statement self-evidently wrong in the context of the theological foundations of both the poster and the person to whom he was posting. I was merely pointing this out to the poster to show him the obvious flaw in his thinking. That you apparently wish to support the poster's position only means that you share in his folly.

I wonder if there is such a thing as a "peoples advocate" when it comes to the courts.
I just hope the kind of outrage we see today doesn't wither and fade and be forgotten after the next nipple stunt.
This kind of thing is serious, folks. Why the hell are the courts wasting time on seat belt laws and that kind of crap? It's time to make sure the legislatures know if they can't do the job, the people will, and it won't be some nice mood music filled lethal injection, like he was at a spa or something.

According to our liberal friends, lethal injection will do just fine. Some anti-death-penalty advocates maintain that the paralysis drug (the second administered in lethal injection) masks the excruciating pain of the last drug, potassium chloride, that stops the heart.

Assign him to a "road crew". With toughened lifers. With pick axes and sling blades and shovels. And guards who have narcolepsy (allegedly) or AADD (Adult Attention Deficit Disorder).

Less than 5 miles from my house. My essay in 815 is on the money. King has the most expensive home in the county (6 plus million).

They need to bring down that convict from Massachusetts who jumped all over that freak priest Geoghan until he was dead. Put this guy in a cell with Smith, and let all the guards go on break.

Tune up "old sparky." When I was assigned to Patrick AFB in Florida (83-87)there was a running comment about execution days. I believe the chair was located in a town called Stark or Starkville. The radio commentator would state that on the day of execution there would be "Sparks in Stark!". If this guy is the killer I hope that the State will speedily issue him a ticket there and let the Sparks in Stark fly!

Don't think he used lie to get her to comply. Video shows he grabbed her arm and led her off. Her trusting nature and youthful inexperience probably precluded her from realizing she was in mortal danger.

Interesting--just heard that the predator tried to say he was at Marina Jack's the night of Carlie's abduction. Coincidentally, that is only one block from Joyce Wishart's art gallery.
