What is it that makes such monsters out of human being's? Pure Evil? A freak of nature that is so rampant throughout our male population?Oh, please-it is very upsetting, but "so rampant through our male population"?
There are not ten thousand of these freaks. It is our unfortunate propensity to recycle them that accounts for these crimes.
They are instantly recognizable once they encounter the system, and they are so horrifying to be near that they get moved along quickly to their next stop on the railroad. If jailed, they hone their brutal skills and, in many cases, bask for the first time in their lives in the admiration of their peers, while they together prey on and violate the weak among prison inmates.
The solution is that they should be killed as soon as they come to attention for the first time.
Failing that, they should be permanently isolated in a location without intercourse with the normal world, so they and their fellow sociopaths can live in the type of hell they would inevitably create.
What we're doing now does not work, and we should change.

Well, yes, he has actually. That's how they knew where to find her body. Although it damn sure took him long enough to tell.

How sick! OMG. Color me surprised when the guy gets out for a repeat performance. It will happen.
Sarah, Judge Andrew Napolitano (sp?) must be reading your posts defending the Judge's decision. He concurred with your analysis on FOX :~)

God Bless Carlie and her family. What a terrible thing to see your child's fate on surveillance camera.

Guess they must have made a deal, then. As long as he never gets out...

I agree. I have a friend who is a prosecutor and it drives him nuts. Essentially, they have very little right of appeal from a bad decision in a criminal case, and none at all once the jury speaks.

FL has the death penalty and not afraid to use it, but I suspect since he spewed it may have been the plea bargain

O'Reilly has hammered this judge on radio today and will do so again on his national television show. This is just another example of the psycho babble liberal wimps having too much influence on our society. The left will be the death of us all. Sadly, Carlie is just another victim of the liberal elites.

How sad. Not for me. I was also disgusted with Catholic bishops and predator priests.
The really sad story involves those wonderful people that cannot walk away.

We are pissed. Do not worry. That judge had best move up north to Massachussetts or New York where he's more welcome.

Well, it's like I told my daughter when she was about 14 and wanted to go jogging down our street by herself. If all your alertness doesn't work and someone pulls a gun/knife and says get into the car, DON'T DO IT! Make him shoot you right then and there if that's what he's going to do.
If he'd shoot you there on a residential street, then he'd shoot you in a secluded place after he's done God knows what to you. Plus if he shoots you and leaves you for dead, your chances of getting medical attention are much better. And if he shoots you and hauls you off, the chances of someone seeing that increases. If the worst happens and you die right there, well at least someone might see him so that we can track down your murderer and make him pay.
Harsh things to say to your own teenage daughter, but I firmly believe that developing a "go ahead and shoot" attitude is best for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is to decrease the chances of a paralyzing fear. Sort of like Gregory Peck's "consider yourself dead" speech in Twelve O'Clock High.

Narcissism. No boundaries. Total "rights." And a societal emphasis on not being "judgmental". But I'd put "evil" up there on the list too.

Totally ineffective Uhhh...ok...fair enough.
WHY would it be totally ineffective?

I agree. I, and I'm sure many others, share your anger at the defense lawyers. And that's probably why when me and 150 other people showed up for jury duty this morning we were kept waiting in the jury assembly room for nearly two hours while the lawyers talked to the judge. So finally the judge comes down and tells us all that we are free to go. He said he granted the defendant, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a stay (a delay of the trial) because of this morning's developments in Sarasota, FL.
Mustn't try the guy while everyone is so riled up about what happened to Carlie. /sarcasm
To: Beck_isright
Realize that the Dems will try to paint this as somehow being Jeb's fault. They operate entirely in the realm of "feelings", not facts.
