Just heard on WCBS newsradio NY that CNN reports Carlie Brucia found dead in Sarasota.

Whenever someone commits a hideous crime people who know the perp always say nice things and are shocked. I am sure the neighbors also were not privy to his extensive record or they would have been watching him all the time

I thought that, too. Just so sad. My guess is that if Smith did this, his case will be built around the "fact" he was abused as a child, neglected by society, drug abuse, and all the other usual causes. That will be ca ca. I hope that the one responsible for this, and Smith appears to be on a very, very short list of suspects, gets the death penalty. There needs to be a line drawn and someone needs to set the pace to the chair for crimes such as this. He has three daughters so one or more of them are probably looking over their shoulders now. Someone may want to even the score. I hope not, but it might happen. My prayers go to the Brucia family. They shouldn't have been put in this position. Nor should others who have preceeded them.
