So, let me see if I understand this right.
CBS refused to air a Moveon.org commercial during the Super Bowl because they claimed they don't run "convroversy ads," and yet they do this during the Super Bowl?
What's up with that?

What a silly justification for an extremely offensive action. What difference does it make that he supports Bush?
To: Buzzmom
What?
Listen, maybe your 10 year olds look at naked boobs all the time, but our kids are being raised differently.
(Thank GOD!)
You can go turn on any channel you want, and let your kids watch what you *want*. That is the difference, it would be a CHOICE you made. We HAD NO CHOICE. NO CHANCE to turn the channel.
What a friggin idiot!
Now, so you don't imagine that I'm bothered by your opinion, I'm out of here. I have the flu.. I'm not just sick by the child abuse antics of the Jackson family.. I'm sick with the flu.

Here's another article about it...
http://breakingnews.nypost.com/dynamic/stories/F/FBN_SUPER_BOWL_JACKSON?SITE=NYNYP&SECTION=ENTERTAINMENT CBS Apologizes for Jackson's Exposure
NEW YORK (AP) -- CBS apologized on Sunday for an unexpectedly R-rated end to its Super Bowl halftime show, when singer Justin Timberlake tore off part of Janet Jackson's top, exposing her breast.
"CBS deeply regrets the incident," spokeswoman Leslie Anne Wade said after the network received several calls about the show.
The two singers were performing a flirtatious duet to end the halftime show, and at the song's finish, Timberlake reached across Jackson's leather gladiator outfit and pulled off the covering to her right breast.
The network quickly cut away from the shot, and did not mention the incident on the air.
It was unclear whether Timberlake intended to expose Jackson's breast.
Wade said CBS officials attended rehearsals of the halftime show all week, "and there was no indication any such thing would happen. The moment did not conform to CBS' broadcast standards and we would like to apologize to anyone who was offended."
The Super Bowl halftime show, which also featured Puff Daddy, Nelly and Kid Rock, was produced by MTV, CBS' corporate cousin in Viacom.
"We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced halftime show," Joe Browne, NFL executive vice president, said. "They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the content of the show.
"It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."

Garbage exist, we've seen garbage, know it exist, and know it stinks. No shock there. The shock comes when we find truck loads of garbage in our living rooms. That's the difference. Yes. But in this case, the garbage has been rotting there for years, and all of a sudden people are asking what the bad smell is. DUH! This stunt is not some big leap forward in the trashiness of American television. It's right in line with it. Did you think the forces of moral relativism were just come to suddenly stop pushing the envelope when they reached a certain point?
If this nation survives that long, we will see little kids having sex with animals, on broadcast prime-time TV, inside of 40 or 50 years.

The commercials have also gotten so disgusting. Let's organize for next year! We can have our usual parties, but keep the remote with Mr. Fast Fingers, and substitute old video clips from church summer camp adventures...etc.
It would probably be legal to sell advertising for such parties, as long as you don't charge admission. CBS can't tell you when to turn your TV on and off.

Yes, something just like that, I have also sold shields that covered the whole nipple so that it is not seen, with a bar going through the nipple to hold it in place. The varieties o course are endless. Ouch.
Eyebrow, navel, and nipple piercings - studs through tongues - huge tattoos on the small of one's back...
A sure sign that I'm getting old, I suppose, is that I can't pretend to understand the appeal of any of this.

but hip-hop/rap culture is destructive and inferior, no matter what color of person adopts it(and there is plenty of white trash that has embraced it). It is a huge dividing point. So are heavy metal songs that sing of killing and cutting up moms and worshipping the devil.
Please don't fall for the media's attempt to convince us this is normal for black or white. They are trying to corrupt our children. I have family members who are black who are disgusted by this old ho's behaviour.

Look at Jessica Simpson...I love her voice...her CD is fantastic...she started out as a Christian vocalist. My 6 year old daughter loves alot of her songs ...but just the other night she danced and dressed like a wh*** at her husband's birthday party at a bar on MTV's Newlyweds. The party was Madonna/Christina/Britneyesque. :-(

Singer Janet Jackson, left, covers her breast after her outfit came undone during a number with Justin Timberlake
Nothing "came undone" JT ripped it off and except for strippers I don't know anyone that wears pasties "just in case". BS. This was planned and contrived. Disgusting display of hollywierd mentality - the whole halftime. Please complain. I am going to let'm have it. Remember "See BS" - Don't let them get away with it. :-(

Do liberals ever tired of pushing filth down our throats? Oh, please. This is a station that refused to run the MoveOn.org ad.
As posted in this thread, Steve Allen, a liberal if there ever was one, fought hard against this sort of crap from the media. As a liberal, I don't care what adults choose to view or do. As a teacher and as a parent, I do care that parents get to decide how their children get introduced to sex.

Anything to get on the cover of the mags for a week, eh?
Problem is, this will work as an innoculation unless the outrage is so overwhelming that their eyebrows are singed.
The ball is in our court.

"I'm going to get you naked before the end of this song"?Little Justin Timberweenee sang that? To a girl??? LOL 'til I puke!
Somebody tell me why this nothing is a celebrity, please? A gay porn star maybe, at best. But performing at half time at the Super Bowl? Good Lord!
This poor generation doesn't have a clue. If I was the Ruler of the Universe I would set up a Celebrity Death Match between this turd and say, I dunno, Jim Morrison. Or Ted Nugent. Now THAT would be a half time show.

Yup, that's it.

" How about CBS? They approved it in advance. Why not also, "It's unlikely that CBS will air another Super Bowl." " CBS is responsible for what went on. THEY selected MTV (what were they thinking?). Make 'em pay...make 'em pay big.

It was unclear whether Timberlake intended to expose Jackson's breast. LIE!!!!!! It was hinted at on MTV's website!
The network quickly cut away from the shot, and did not mention the incident on the air.
Until Greg Gumbel said it was time for some "raw, naked football."
