Check Out Lou Dobbs on CNN Cable right now hes really tearing into the Illegal Alien Amnesty of Bush!
If youre not tuned in, check it out right now, Lou Dobbs on CNN Cable is really hitting the pertinent points regarding illegal aliens as well as the Bush amnesty. If you missed it, hopefully it will re-air later tonight, on CNN cable. I believe this man truly is a fighter and advocate for the interests of the workers and labor in this country the USA he is asking very direct questions about the problems of illegal immigration from Mexico, and though he may be a Democrat he presents the news in a superb manner, in this case brings an exciting and significant forum of news events discussion and coverage (Faceoff on CNN, as well as other CNN programs featuring this host). He really got my blood going, he was right on and no fan of illegal immigration.
I dont want to hear the Mahatma Gandhi insult/quote from Hillary again, not even from the so-called conservative shows/hosts. There is only one issue to cover, and that is the Buffalo that Bush has pulled on all conservatives and Americans. You know, some folks say the Democratic Party is dead. Maybe so. But, maybe not, in that, I would wager, if some Democratic candidate, spokesperson, politician (with a D next to the name) went back to early Democratic Party roots, and focused on the interests of American workers, that is hit on the issues of exporting American jobs to India et all, off shore outsourcing, and yes, what the invasion of illegal aliens from South of the Border is doing to undercut living wage jobs in the USA for labor, I would predict this person would rise like a comet, a meteor, and could very well take the White House. Would the Democratic Party make such a swing away from the left progressive wing to become a party that advocates American Workers First? I think it is possible, not immediate, but possible, and probable to come. Its all a matter of which party gets on this wave first the Republicans or the Democrats. I predict, that will be the Party that will sweep America. Dont think so?
I think so. I think that these issues, Made in America, Jobs in USA, American Workers First, illegal aliens, Bush type amnesty, exporting American jobs, offshore outsourcing, are, and will become even more, THE issues of the next four to eight years, and more.
I am outraged by Buffalo Bush.
How dare that man say that I would not do the jobs, any job it takes, to put food on the table of my family. How dare that man say such a thing. That I am a lazy American, and the only Mexicans who come here illegally have the character to do a job, any job, to put food on the table for their family. He can go to Mexico and not come back. My forefathers lived in a wooden box pulled by a horse with a canvas for a roof called a horse drawn wagon, to go somewhere, to put food on the table. My forefathers worked in dirty mines, chucking broken quartz and rock into wagons, to put food on the table. I will do the job, I will get up on someones roof and put up shingles, I will paint a wall, I will pick up garbage, to put food on the table for my family. I am an American. And I am proud. And I have the character to do anything it takes. How DARE this President say I wont do the job it takes if that is what it takes to put food on the table for my family. How DARE he say that. I am an American. I will work. My character, and the character of my forefathers, brought the FREEDOM of this nation, not some illegal alien from Mexico. I will put MY character up against them any day, any place.
Against any one.
Including you, Mr. Bush.

You actually watch that tripe?Everything else, no. Lou Dobbs, yes...whether he's being honest or a plant by CNN to look "conservative" is a subject for debate. If he's being honest he belongs on FNC, preferably to replace tabloid lawyer Gretta. He's definitely a fish out of water at CNN.
I use to like and respect Bush a lot but I am starting to dislike him even more. Bush is a Liberal, just face it guys. Maybe he isn't as Liberal as Dean and the rest of those idiots but he's still an ignorant Liberal when it comes to domestic issues. That's just a fact.

A carefully crafted environmental position that included the concerns of hunters and fisherman could even attract my conservative vote.
I'll keep asking.....'what is a conservative'?

I think there should be recognition that there are jobs that Americans don't want, or let's put it this way, have moved away from. I think there is work for which employers are unwilling or too cheap to pay for at American wages, and so they resort to breaking the law. (If the market decides that there is a shortage of those willing to dig ditches, the ONLY CONSERVATIVE response should be the free market one of having to pay more to attract those LEGALLY here to do the work)
I think there should be a recognition that anyone who knowingly hires an illegal alien should have his business confiscated under RICO, and his UnAmerican, terrorist supporting butt thrown in jail.

This may be a brilliant move on Dubya's part - come out for a ridiculously lenient immigration plan, then let the hard-core conservatives come out of the woodwork and smack the thing down before it gets two inches off the floor.
He gets the Hispanic vote, and no harm done.

LOL. I have barely glanced at these threads all day, because I knew what was going to appear on them. And there's really no point in trying to discuss it reasonably, because people who go in for bombast and hyperbole and mistakenly believe that heated speech solves things are simply not interested in discussion.

'what is a conservative'
Good question.. the lines have been blurred and the conservativews divided against themselves. I said here on FR that I am a paleo-conservative~meaning that I am a traditional conservative as opposed to being a neocon. I had no other meaning by that term other than to remove myself from the 'liberal conservatives' ( IF that makes ANY sense).. I was immediately accused of being a RACIST! Jeezy Louise.. what has happened to conservatism? Just what the 'RATs want.. all of us at each other's throats.

I didn't see the Dobbs program, but am listening to Michael Savage right now. Savage is predicting GWB will lose re-election because of this.
Sean Hannity earlier was decrying GWB's pandering. Neal Boortz is calling the issue Hispandering.
GWB and Rove need to open their eyes and ears. PEOPLE ARE AGAINST THIS. This issue could very well be GWB's equivalent to "read my lips; no new taxes".
If Congress does pass this, and GWB does sign it, GWB will be defeated by apathy and disinterest from his "base". The only hope now is that Congress doesn't pass it.

Thats what I think.. Reagan, the god of conservatism also signed an amnesty plan. Something has to be done about illegal immigration and kudos to Bush for talking about it. The 2 most important facts here are that, Bush is just "PROPOSING" and Congress "HAS TO WRITE THE LEGISLATION". In couple of weeks from now, this will be non-news as it sinks with the repb opposition.

I sometimes have had great difficulty with this POTUS. However, our current way of dealing with illegal aliens is unconscionable. It is unBiblical. And we can do better. Are there Americans clamoring for jobs in the fields of Florida/California/Michigan/etc.? Are there Americans clamoring for jobs in chicken houses in Arkansas/Mississippi/Kentucky/etc.? Or have they been told they're better off accepting a welfare check for a higher amount than they would earn working 60+hours a week? Apparently, there are lots of aliens willing to do the work.

I wonder if the Mexicalli's are going to let me just walk into mexico and take a job. I doubt it!!!

Dobbs is just pissed that Bush just sowed up a GOP majority for the next 50 years and that the RNC oustmarted the rats yet again.

Doubt there are any jobs in Mexico that you would want..:)

It's quite pointless, I'm afraid, to argue with the 'Deport Illegals' 'Seal the Borders' bumper-sticker crowd. Are these the same people who advocate nuking Mecca and Medina, do you think? Ahh, if only life was that simple and Americans had no sense of proportion. Part of me wishes that I could snap my fingers and have all illegals immediately deported just to show them the utter chaos and economic collapse that would follow. They would probably just whine and scream and blame the ensuing severe economic contraction on someone else though. Because after all, as everyone knows, Pat Buchanan is a wonderfully happy, optimistic patriotic American who has never been wrong and nothing but a resounding success in life.

Write your Congressman. We've got to stop this.

Dobbs is just pissed that Bush just sowed up a GOP majority for the next 50 years and that the RNC oustmarted the rats yet again. I'm not sure it will work that easily. This will take time. But once again GWB does the unpopular but absolutely correct thing to do, poll numbers be damned.
To: TomGuy
Congress is not going to pass this. This was one of Bush's big things to look at this year and I doubt its going to go through congress. Look at everyone talking about this now and the caucuses are pushed to the back burner... BRILLIANT if I so say myself!!!
