I'm not sure it will work that easily. This will take time. But once again GWB does the unpopular but absolutely correct thing to do, poll numbers be damned.

GWB alienated a minumum of 10,000,000 of his conservative base by supporting this issue. GWB is President by a slim margin of about 600 Florida votes. GWB's pandering lost him more votes than it gained him. Bet the farm on that; it is a sure thing.

There is still hope that the Legislature won't pass it.
