But seriously, can someone, who is NOT presently at the university, send messages out, from home, from another computer/laptop ? I don't know of any college/university, that isn't closed, locked up, during long vacations.

What about those VPN thingies...Virtual Private Network...remote access to account on university server from offsite of university property?

Nah. It doesn't seem to like gender references, so we have deemed it an "IT." 25 is a bit young for a university professor...although it could be a student. Your backyard? Let's hope not. We've also determined that it isn't well-trained and would probably leave a terrible mess.

The second one, I guess I can make it quick.

He was a hobbit, or a creature much like a hobbit. He found the ring! He lived a thousand years and it changed him dramatically. Then he lost the ring, and he has been searching for it ever since.

Such a pitiful thing really, he lost his 'precious'....

Its a warning as to why the ring is a bad thing (so are all those dead people of course). That ring made him become what he was.

I believe the paragon of the various mythis is set in Prague, 1200's or 1300's.

I often wonder, too, about FR's sign up dates. Mine's okay. Other's, I've looked at, ares the day AFTER the fact. Yes, I do check out some posters' sign up dates. :-)

My guess,is that this person is NOT overseas, just signed up after the close off for 1/02/04's time limit.

From what know about colleges and universities here ( and my knowledge about that is limited, I'll grant you ), they send everyone home and lock the doors.

actually, yes, at least one of the various golem stories involves making the golem out of clay, in a direct imitation of god's creation of adam.
