Neanderthals were shedding their sturdy physique and evolving in the direction of modern humans just before they disappeared from the fossil record. Newly-identified remains from Vindija in Croatia, which date to between 42,000 and 28,000 years ago, are more delicate than "classic" Neanderthals.
One controversial explanation is that these Neanderthals were interbreeding with modern humans in the region.
Details of the research appear in the Journal of Human Evolution.
Excavations also reveal the Vindija Neanderthals were developing advanced ways of making stone tools that mirror innovations elsewhere by modern humans (Homo sapiens).

In practice, that is what usually happens. However, the premise upon which this country was founded is that we have certain inalienable rights, regardless of what government exists, if any. The Federal Government was borne to protect these rights, not dole them out. Since tyranny never sleeps, the wannabes have tried to invert the process here to have the Fed Gov be the diviner of rights. Scarey!

It is not difficult to understand. Yet, without the supernatural aspect, we are just natural. Why do we have rights over chimpanzees-also natural? Who is the authority that gets the final word on this? If it is simply consensus by any form, would that not be a game of "let's pretend we naturals are supernatural-divine-omnicient-omnipotent"?
The supernatural aspect is a culmination (direct and indirect) of the views of the Christian Bible. Ok, you do not care for that. No harm done-no harm given. Yet, the absolute of the supernatural aspect of our rights makes these certain rights inalienable. In other words, you do not have to be of the Christian faith at all to appreciate and respect the divine nature of our position in life.
Because they haven't gotten together to forcefully demand "rights" too.

So Mao Zedong had all rights including the power to divine who shall get any rights at all - because he enforced his desire for rights? And, the rest of China could not enforce there desire for themselves and therefor do not have rights? No, again the premise is that we have rights, regardless of who claims to be in charge. While Mao vilolated rights regularly, he was just as human as the next dictator.
And, after all, we are born with these rights. Mao, Stalin, Hitler, etc. would have you believe that the state is the true authority over your rights.

The people of China lack the rights they deserve. Just because a despot systematically denies or violates rights does not mean the people deserve less. But, in the vein of the founders, you are correct in affirming that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
To put it another way, rights are as intractable as your hands or feet. One may cut them off but that does not mean that one has the right to so just because he can.

Now, I had a junior high school gym teacher who I swear was a Neanderthal throwback. Brow ridge and all. You didn't mess with this dude. I have no problem believing that there's a few branches of the old family tree that scientists would want to put some label on other than Homo Sapiens Sapiens (My uncle Don, for example).

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
So, you observe the immutable laws of nature, that is, the absolute-universal and timelss-laws of gravity and centrifugal motion. And you accept them as such, enough to cite them. Yet, the origin of such laws seems to elude you; as if gravity, matter, energy, etc., formed in a vacuum-just showed up one day(perhaps on a Tuesday). Hmmm, absolute laws with no absolute origin. Oh sweet delusion.
Only if you are willing to collectively or individually die for those rights. Otherwise, you simply have no more than what someone wishes to give you.
That was the beauty of the original ideas behind the Constitution. No one questioned what authority established the rights of the citizens. Now with the humanistic relativism of the Liberal and the Libertarian sects, anything goes.
