A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Christmas is a time for Families, Fun, and Festivities! A time of family gatherings and holiday meals. A time for Santa, stars, and singing carolers. A time for ornaments, gifts, and twinkling lights. Of sleigh rides, hot cocoa, and gingerbread cookies, but foremost it's the time of year to recognize the birth of Christ.
So now it's that time again! Time to get your favorite Christmas treats and hot cider or maybe some hot chocolate then sit back relax and enjoy listening to the Finest Collection of Christmas Music. ~ Aquamarine

Angels we have heard on high, Singing sweetly through the night, And the mountains in reply Echoing their brave delight. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why these songs of happy cheer? What great brightness did you see? What glad tiding did you hear? Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing; Come, adore on bended knee Christ, the Lord, the new-born King. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo.
See him in a manger lai Whom the angels praise above; Mary, Joseph, lend your aid, While we raise our hearts in love. Gloria in excelsis Deo. Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem Shinning far through shadows dimmed Giving the life for those who long have gone on Guiding the wise men on their way Unto the place where Jesus lay Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on
Oh beautiful star the hope of light Guiding the pilgrims through the night Over the mountains 'till the break of dawn Into the land of perfect day It will give out a lovely ray Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem Star of Bethlehem Shine upon us until the glory dawn Give us a lamp to light the way Unto the land of perfect day Oh beautiful star of Bethelem shine on
Oh beautiful star the hope, the grace For the redeem of good and blessed Yonder in glory when the crowd is one Jesus is now the star divine Brighter and brighter he will shine Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on
O come all ye faithful Joyful and triumphant O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem Come and behold him Born the King of Angels O come let us adore him O come let us adore him O come let us adore him Christ the Lord
Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultations, Sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above; Glory to God Glory In the highest: O come let us adore him O come let us adore him O come let us adore him Christ the Lord
Yea, Lord, we greet thee, Born this happy morning, Jesus, to thee be glory given; Word of the Father, Now in flesh appearing: O come let us adore him O come let us adore him O come let us adore him Christ the Lord
O come all ye faithful Joyful and triumphant O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem Come and behold him Born the King of Angels O come let us adore him O come let us adore him O come let us adore him Christ the Lord
Joy to world, the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King. Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room And heaven and nature sing And heaven and nature sing And heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns;
Let men their songs employ, While fields and floods, rock, hills and plains, Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nation prove The glories of His righteouness And wonder of His love And wonder of His love And wonder of His love
May you have a Joyful Christmas!

Guess I'm not too good at solving puzzles, I don't know the answers to any of these! lol!
You'd think I would after working with Christmas music for months!

Hi, Aqua!
I'll bet it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in your neck of the woods!
I'm in deep South Texas, and it hasn't snowed down here since Neanderthals roamed the earth.
The Snow Birds are flocking in by the thousands!
LOL!
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I'll bet it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in your neck of the woods! We had about three inches last week. There was still enough left for my niece and nephew to have a snowball fight with over the weekend, could hear the squeals. :)
Are you at work on the oil rig?
To: Billie
Thank you Billie. I hope you have the merriest of all Christmases.
To: Aquamarine
Merry Christmas, Aqua.
Since it's so close to Christmas there will be no complaints today.
I'll just double 'em next time. :-)
To: Aquamarine
I have had nothing but Christmas music on for two weeks. Hey, it only comes once a year. I hope your Christmas will be a great one.

Thanks TMan! (I think):)

Yeah, we'll work straight through Christmas.
It takes about $30,000. a day to operate, whether we're actively drilling or not, so very few companies shut down for Christmas.
We make the best of it, just like our guys and gals in the military.
I'll shut everything down long enough on Christmas Day for everyone to eat Christmas dinner, then go back to work.

This is my FAVORITE CHRISTmas song.
I heard a small bit of the sone The Man for Galiliee by Cristy Lane, part of the song is that CHRISTmas is the Man from Galiliee.

Aqua, what a beautiful Christmas Music thread you have produced this year. I love your selections and presentation...I see you have managed to find the most beautiful poinsettias on the Web once again...Good for you, I know they are very special to you.
I enjoyed so much working with you on last year's Music Thread..you introduced me to such beautiful music...what fun it was to preview all the selections you came up with.
Pippin and Billie-thanks for the ping. I am doing just great. I finished all my Christmas "stuff" last week and was really puzzled as to why I was so "smart" this year. Then I remembered that last year I was busy helping do Finest threads, lol. A lot of work and time but oh so much fun.
I wish you all Peace, Joy and Love this Christmas season and a Blessed New Year.
