A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Christmas is a time for Families, Fun, and Festivities!
A time of family gatherings and holiday meals. A time for Santa, stars, and singing carolers. A time for ornaments, gifts, and twinkling lights. Of sleigh rides, hot cocoa, and gingerbread cookies, but foremost it's the time of year to recognize the birth of Christ.
So now it's that time again! Time to get your favorite Christmas treats and hot cider or maybe some hot chocolate then sit back relax and enjoy listening to the Finest Collection of Christmas Music. ~ Aquamarine

Here for your entertainment is some Holiday Christmas Music. In the opener the emphasis is placed on the reason for the season - celebrating the Christ Child.
To hear all the different styles of music and Artists that range from Country to Classical just click on the song titles below. The lyrics to the songs have been included in case you'd like to sing along. There will be more of a variation of Christmas Music as the thread progresses, would also like to encourage anyone who knows how to post music to please join in. Hope you enjoy!

Angels we have heard on high,
Singing sweetly through the night,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their brave delight.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why these songs of happy cheer?
What great brightness did you see?
What glad tiding did you hear?
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ, the Lord, the new-born King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
See him in a manger lai
Whom the angels praise above;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While we raise our hearts in love.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shinning far through shadows dimmed
Giving the life for those who
long have gone on
Guiding the wise men on their way
Unto the place where Jesus lay
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on
Oh beautiful star the hope of light
Guiding the pilgrims through the night
Over the mountains 'till the break of dawn
Into the land of perfect day
It will give out a lovely ray
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem
Star of Bethlehem
Shine upon us until the glory dawn
Give us a lamp to light the way
Unto the land of perfect day
Oh beautiful star of Bethelem shine on
Oh beautiful star the hope, the grace
For the redeem of good and blessed
Yonder in glory when the crowd is one
Jesus is now the star divine
Brighter and brighter he will shine
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem shine on

O come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the King of Angels
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
Christ the Lord
Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultations,
Sing, all ye citizens of heav'n above;
Glory to God
Glory In the highest:
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
Christ the Lord
Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning,
Jesus, to thee be glory given;
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing:
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
Christ the Lord
O come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the King of Angels
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
Christ the Lord
Joy to world, the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King.
Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns;
Let men their songs employ,
While fields and floods,
rock, hills and plains,
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nation prove
The glories of His righteouness
And wonder of His love
And wonder of His love
And wonder of His love

May you have a Joyful Christmas!

Hi, Billie!

No, I won't get to see the little Termite for Christmas. I'll be on the rig, and they're going to visit the other grandkids, nephews and nieces.
I'll have to be content with the mound of pictures I've been promised.

I hope you and yours have a very blessed and joyous Merry Christmas!

Can't wait to see your Christmas thread tomorrow, know it will be perfect!

Thanks - I hope you like it. Last year Daisy did such a beautiful, meaningful Christmas thread, and after all the cute and funny ones so far, your music thread today and the one I'll post tomorrow set a little different tone.

Daisy, I hope you are reading Aqua's music thread today - the one you did together last year was special, as is this one. :)

Aqua...what an absolutely beautiful thread....It shows how long and hard you worked on it....The intro. the background...the music selections....it's Billie quality! (ofcourse she's a great teacher!)

Last day with my folks here....Mom is into cleaning closets and "getting me organized" (I feel like I'm 16 again LOL!). Hope to stop back later and enjoy the rest of your beautiful music selections!

Working on this thread brought back lots of good memories of working with her on last years Christmas Music thread.

Thanks Dutchess, I did ask Billie's opinion on a few things, you can always see Billie's touch.

My family has already come and gone (over the weekend). Will be celebrating Christmas with Mr A's family Friday.
