Getting rid of the Clintons would be good for the Democratic Party. And America.

Still blames Clinton for 2000, eh? You got that right. Plenty of personal animus there. Tipper never liked the Clintons. Al distanced himself from Clinton during the 2000 election campaign and thinks Clinton is the reason he lost. Gore is so ambitious politically, I think his grand plan is to endorse a loser in Dean, but in the process, he will win the allegiance of the rabid Dean supporters in his bid to win the 2008 nomination against Hillary. Gore is laying down his marker against the Clintons and their boy Clark.

Man DUmmies are all cheering and stuff. One guy said he was unelectable, though.

I wonder what Howie reckons about Dingell/Norwood? What about Dingell/Norwood?

Maybe Dean promised to replace McAwful with Al.

Frankly I'm not surprised at Algore's endorsement. I'm only surprised it came so soon. I figured Algore would wait until after the New Hampshire primary to ensure he picked the right horse. This must mean internal DNC polls are looking really, really bad for Kerry and the other non-Dean candidates.

He is a decent man. I got mad at him when he flip-flopped on his convictions in 2000. He sold his soul to Algore and now look where it got him! You've got to feel sorry for him!

Lots of Democrats would love to jettison the Clintons - it would be good for their party - and they like Gore.No doubt, but there other anti-McAuliffe candidates who are generally believed to be electable in a national election...something Dean isn't. Seems to me that Gore couldn't resist the temptation and will in fact play right into the Clinton's hands if Dean in the general election.

Gore picked the moment when he thought his endorsement would be enough to put Dean over the top.

Getting rid of the Clintons would be good for the Democratic Party. They don't, for the most part, understand that. Their chatterers in the opinion pages certainly don't, but I think guys like Gephardt and Z. Miller do...they made noise about McAuliffe after the 2002 election...McAuliffe counter-attacked with stories from "experts" showing the election was "lost" due to "talk radio." In other words, not by McAuliffe, his dumping of money in Florida, and the Bush-Bashing talking points he assured local candidates were winning arguments.

But Dean has said he was going to fire all the Clintonistas the moment he took over the nomination. (on Drudge)
So is this AlGores payback to the Clinton crime family for the Lewinsky scandal that cost him in the 2000 polls?
Revenge is a dish best served cold..

I just waded through the crap at DU to see the reaction to the Gore endorsement, and for the most part, they all seem to think that they just won the lotteryThat's pretty interesting, eh? Boy, if things go the way they should next November, it should be a beautiful place to visit! Man, I can't wait to watch this!
Even if the polls show Dean getting his tail kicked by 20%, the DUmmies will claim all the polls are fixed to the voters from the polls. Then when the results start rolling in... Watch em' SCREAM!!

Sounds like Santa made an early visit to the good doctor.
Surprisingly early IMO.

I think the best ticket they could put forward would be Gephardt/Lieberman. But these guys aren't attracting bucks from the big donors or the knee-jerk Bush Haters.
