He is a decent man. I got mad at him when he flip-flopped on his convictions in 2000. He sold his soul to Algore and now look where it got him! You've got to feel sorry for him!

I don't feel sorry for him. He learned nothing from his experience in 2000. And he continues to willingly walk in ignorance. He doesn't warrant pity. IMHO

I, too, was very disappointed in Lieberman when he kicked his convictions to the curb in 2000. I am sure he regrets that - look what it got him. I thought it was telling that he was disinvited to one of the Nine Dwarves debates, presumably b/c of his support of the war.

I worked as a radio reporter in CT in the mid to late 70s, when Lieberman was prominent in state politics, and he always seemed to be a decent guy. BUT I agree with almost everything he says now.

He does, however, still have a clue about the concept of the loyal opposition. One of the few.
