Senator says she's surprised by Bush agenda
The Associated Press
Web Posted : 12/05/2003 4:17 PM
New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in Texas for a book signing and to raise money for her campaign war chest, said Friday that President Bush won her husband's old job by running a campaign that masked his true leanings.
"We've made a hard right turn to pursue an extremist agenda that was certainly not advertised by the campaign President Bush ran," the former first lady said in an interview with the Austin American-Statesman before her book-signing.
"There's very little compassion," she said of Bush's much-touted compassionate conservatism. "There's even very little conservatism because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit."
Clinton said she will not be entering the 2004 presidential race.
She said the Bush administration has tried "to undo everything the Clinton administration had done, and I took that kind of personally."
"Just on every front it became clear to me they wanted to undo the New Deal. It wasn't just the Clinton administration," she said.
Clinton attended a Thursday evening fund-raising event in Austin at the home of local advertising executive Roy Spence, who said about $100,000 was collected for Clinton's political account.
At Book People on Friday, hundreds of people lined up to get signed copies of her book, "Living History."

"There's even very little conservatism because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit."And which party is the one proposing hundreds of billions in extra spending? Hmm...
I suppose one could say that Republicans are too wussy to cut the budget like they should be. There's no reason for the budget to double in just ten years. Then again, considering that the Democrats would likely filibuster such a proposal, they might be wise to wait until they have a larger majority next year.
On the other hand, if they get the Dems to filibuster enough, they have a good chance of making the Dems look really stupid next November.
She said the Bush administration has tried "to undo everything the Clinton administration had done, and I took that kind of personally."
Mind you, for the most part, that's a really, really good thing. I believe Clinton was responsible for policies which eventually led to the recent recession. Such atrocities need to be undone.
"Just on every front it became clear to me they wanted to undo the New Deal. It wasn't just the Clinton administration," she said.
Who says undoing the New Deal is a bad thing?
She ain't winning herself or her party independent and libertarian votes with statements like these...

Make she continue to take it personally. It is personal.

Note the bald faced lie: "Extreme right wing agenda".
Fact is this President has signed off on the biggest expansion in twenty years of an already grossly bloated big government.
Is she a psycho or simply a pathological liar?

I just know she's in here, maybe as Harry Dexter White.
OK, she may have been born in 1947, but they can regenerate themselves, you know. Eye of newt and toe of frog and all that.

I'm sorry, but do we even have to ask?

It just makes me laugh how unqualified Hillary is to serve in the Senate. Senate candidates like Norm Coleman served as mayor; Lindsey Graham was a long-time congressman, John Cornyn was a state attorney general. People had to pay their dues and demonstrate their political chops. Hillary's claim to fame was standing by her man during an embarassing episode in the White House as first lady. Even feminists should wince at that. And because of that, she rode a wave of favorable liberal press coverage to the highest legislative body in the land. It's the death of meritocracy- just laughable.

"There's very little compassion," she said of Bush's much-touted compassionate conservatism. "There's even very little conservatism because a true conservative would not have put us into a half-trillion dollar current account deficit." So the hag admits that conservativism is fiscally sound, eh?
She is such a moron...
