If they can't give this guy a death sentence, then I'm not sure any jury can ever give anyone a death sentence.

Cocur..but the real question will be, IMHO, if they casn't vote for death, it'll probably be ONE juror who's opposed to the deathpenalty in principal, and who thus lied during the jury selection process...

Did they ever show the car and its 'sniper nest' during the trial?
If anyone has links to this evidence I'd appreciate you sharing them. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps we will be able to change the title of this thread to "Muhammad Sentenced to Death." It would be satisfying in more ways than one.

Too bad they can't give him the death sentence and sentence to carried out immediately, because now we'll have years of endless appeals.

I agree..but they may blame it on the military experience...there are those who would fall for it.

I am very nearly an anti-death penalty absolutist.
This guy is the case that makes it difficult for me. I will have a very difficult time being upset if this jury comes back with the death penalty.
So much for the principled position!

Virginia: #2 behind Texas in dispatching slime such as the D.C. area snipers. Get the "special juice" ready.

Did they ever show the car and its 'sniper nest' during the trial? Yes. Check the special section on the sniper trial(s) at www.washingtonpost.com. They've covered both trials (Muhammed and Malvo) in great detail.

If that were the case, they'd still be deliberating.

I'm typically okay with not giving death sentences too, as long as life in prison means just that. Unfortunately, all too often life in prison is 20 years.
This case is different and I hope he fries.

I heard they recreated the Trunk portion and had that in the Court room.

Did they ever show the car and its 'sniper nest' during the trial? yes they did show it. The jury asked if they had to be unanimous in their decision...judge told them yes and then a female juror asked for permission to research capital punishment over the weekend and the judge tod her HELL NO. Leads me to believe that there's a lady on that jury who doesn't want to see the b*stard fry. Hope she comes around.
