Boy Scout Leader Arrested For Sexual Assault

An assistant Boy Scout leader from Cherry Hill, N.J., is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Jason Rosner, 23, was charged Sunday with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment. He is a self-employed landscaper who is also a Cherry Hill, N.J., volunteer firefighter, police said.

The complaint alleges that Rosner engaged the boy in sex acts on multiple occasions in September and October 2003 at the defendant's home, the victim's home and a Cherry Hill hotel.

The charges carry a maximum prison term of 35 years if Rosner is convicted.

Rosner was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, cash or bond at the Camden County Correctional Facility. No court appearance was scheduled as of Monday afternoon.

Was it not the NJ State Supreme Court that said that the Scouts couldn't discriminate that led to the SCOTUS decision?

Hasn't the diversity crowd been trying to hold high the virtuous NJ State Supreme Court decision up as being enlightened and the SCOTUS as totally oppressive and to be viewed as Neanderthal?

Doesn’t this same crowd tell all of us that youth organizations should not worry about this stuff because those having such orientations just don’t go hunting in youth organizations?

Where's the outrage of the gay lobby now?

The gay lobby will claim that it is an isolated incident. I'm sure that the Catholic Church also made the claim early on that the pedophile priests were all isolated incidents until they added up to a pattern. Will the gay lobby wait until the pattern emerges? Can they afford to let it happen?

Not true. The plan of instruction is provided by National and the course is supposed to be taught by a qualified, trained and vetted instructor from District or Council.

There is also a two adult rule at all times around the scouts, and at no time is any scout to be in a lodging "in-private."

This guy was hunting and wormed his way in to the confidences of the scout unit.

Where I grew up in NJ, all of the coaches, scoutmasters, etc were fathers of those in the organizations.

There were no problems in my circle.

Seems that an outsider who volunteers will be an exponentially greater risk to boys.

Thanks for the correction. I was just remembering that this was handled when my son was in scouts. I thought the Scoutmaster taught it.

No parents were allowed to sleep in tents with scouts, even their own kids!
