Not true. The plan of instruction is provided by National and the course is supposed to be taught by a qualified, trained and vetted instructor from District or Council.

There is also a two adult rule at all times around the scouts, and at no time is any scout to be in a lodging "in-private."

This guy was hunting and wormed his way in to the confidences of the scout unit.

If you like, you can go to the Boy Scouts of America National Council home page and review the Youth Protection training on-line for yourself.

Thanks for the correction. I was just remembering that this was handled when my son was in scouts. I thought the Scoutmaster taught it.

No parents were allowed to sleep in tents with scouts, even their own kids!
