Kay Daly of the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary has asked the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic to assist in coordination efforts during the upcoming 30-hour marathon Senate session to call attention to the blatant Democrat obstruction of judicial nominees. The session will begin on Wednesday and end sometime Friday.
All FReepers and Lurkers in good standing within the metro D.C. area or within easy driving distance in nearby states are invited and encouraged to show their support by their presence in the Senate Gallery and at press conferences to be held frequently during this extended session. If you cannot attend, you can volunteer to donate cookies, sandwiches or snacks for the Republican Senators and their staffs, as well as send emails, faxes and make calls to your Senators.
This is an opportunity to take part in a moment of historical importance. Show the Democrats we're mad as heck and we're not going to take their obstruction any more!

If there is any way at all possible that you can be present during the marathon Senate session, please contact me directly by freepmail, email or telephone -- the contact information is on the D.C. Chapter website linked above. Please let me know when you can be there: morning, noon or night. I will then relay the information to our contacts in the Coalition War Room so they will know that help is on the way.

Wonderful! There are two evenings -- which would you like to sign up for -- or both?
There will be opportunities to pick-up donations, I'm sure. Any donation will be most appreciated. If you're willing, there will be something you can do to help. Thanks.

All-nighters, and inside!
As much fun as it might be to do some night-FReepin' outside, there is too much construction outside the Capitol Building to do that effectively. Kay Daly called Angelwood this week and asked her to help get FReepers to fill the Senate Gallery, so that's where our focus will be.

To sign up for a time that you can attend,
send FReepmail to Angelwood, send her an email or call her on the phone (that info can be found on the DC Chapter website, contact page).
Thank you for your help! See you there!

You can send me a freepmail with your name, phone number (just in case I need to reach you), time you can be present in the Gallery and for press conferences or what you would like to donate -- food deliveries will need to be coordinated throughout the session.

Kay is kidding right? Like these guys can't pick up the tab for lunch, dinner and a midnight pizza just because they're going 30 hours? It's not like we dropped them behind the lines or something.
Though I do promise this, the first Republican Senator that calls the Democrat filibuster what it is, racist, will get a $100 goft certificate to Morton's from me. Hell I'll do that for every Republican Senator that does so.
Hope I have to rent Morton's backroom.
To: Angelwood
Let's get down to to nitty-gritty- WHERE DO WE PARK? for this filibuster ...
