Rock Hudson’s Gay Lover Confirms Ronald Reagan Was Not Homophobe; Was Kind To Dying Hudson.
Sean Hannity | Marc Christian / Sean Hannity

Rock Hudson’s Gay Lover Confirms Ronald Reagan Was Not Homophobe – Was “Kind and Considerate” As Hudson Approached Death From AIDS.

On Hannity, about 3:40 EST this date, Hannity quoted from a letter from Marc Christian, the former lover of gay movie actor Rock Hudson, to CBS President Leslie Moonves. In the letter, Christian dispels the malignant liberal myth that Reagan was anti-gay. Christian was incensed that that false claim was a major part of the anti-Reagan movie CBS planned to air.

In the letter, Christian says the Reagans were life long friends of Hudson, knew his sexual orientation, and accepted him for who he was. Christian also verifies that the President and Mrs. Reagan called Hudson a few weeks before his death and spent an extended time with him on the telephone. Christian says the Reagans reassured Hudson that they wished him the very best and he was in their prayers every day.

Christian, who travels in the far-left liberal Hollywood circles, never caught AIDS himself. He is far from a Conservative but thought it was important to correct the liberals’ lie that President Reagan was homophobic.

Now let's see if I've got this right: The producers of this dreck are gay. The screenwriter is a lesbian. Streisand has a son who's gay and has HIV. The head of Showtime, which is going to show this next year, is gay. Do I have this straight (pardon the pun)? Have I missed anyone? Gee, could all this have anything to do with what's in this movie and how and why it got there?

Nice to see an upright liberal in Hollywood, that species is nearly extinct.

The Left loves to lie about Reagan, because they can't touch him any other way.

This propaganda movie against Reagan must have been really disgusting when even the liberals are speaking against it.

It's so repugnant to attack a dying man with so many vitriolic lies under the pretext of "artistic license."

The Law of Karma will apply to these fools: whatever you sow in this life, you will reap many times over.

Here's the crux of the letter as posted on Front Page Magazine's Tammy Blog by Tammy Bruce:

My good friend Marc Christian was Rock Hudson’s last partner. Marc, like most other Americans, is appalled at the reported portrayal of the President, not only because he believes it to be an untrue portrait, but because he knows.

Marc wrote a letter to CBS entertainment head Les Moonves making clear his disgust at the portrayal of the President, especially the assertion that Reagan was a cruel homophobe. While Marc did not write his letter for public consumption, I found it important and asked it I could share it with you. He graciously agreed.

Here is the education Marc Christian gave Les Moonves:

"The notion that President Reagan was a homophobe strikes me as silly beyond belief. Not only did he have several gay men on his staff when he was Governor of California, he called my lover, Rock Hudson when he was on his deathbed just weeks before he died of AIDS and wished him well and voiced his and Nancy's concern and prayers.

"…The Reagans had known Rock for years and knew he was gay (as did most in Hollywood). The point is Reagan could have ignored Rock's illness and didn't. He could have just issued a public statement concerning his "official sorrow" but made a personal phone call instead.

"CBS used to be the network of class, now its the official arm of the Democrat party and its sources for information regarding truth below that of The National Enquirer. I bet President Reagan's phone call to Rock Hudson isn't in the screenplay or should I say smearplay, is it?"

Marc Christian.

Hollywood, CA

This note from Marc to Moonves is important for several reasons, mostly for the injection of the truth into a world ruled by vacant, malevolent leftists. Their elite actively work to destroy any idea, or any individual, who challenge the dead, cold heart of their glorious leftist establishment. The CBS depiction of the Reagans epitomizes this callous agenda.

Marc’s letter, and the e-mails, letters and calls all of you made to CBS to register your protest and to support a great and decent man and his wife, obviously do make a difference. Even if it’s just a reminder to the media elite that their cloistered, decrepit little world has been invaded—by truth, reality, and fairness.

Good for him to try and set the record straight.

This movie should never be shown on Showtime either.

Please lets boycott Hallmark too. I didn't know until today that Hallmark Entertainment backed this trash.

Liberals like to fantasize about being in a cosmic Manichaean struggle with evil, mean-spirited conservatives. It's very much part of liberal mythology and far-left subcultures.

For some...Reagan is about the most EVIL thing they can imagine. Next to...perhaps Rush Limbaugh, Mel Gibson, Jerry Falwell, or Pope Pius XII.

Hallmark is also on the NRA blacklist. So is Sara Lee. Those are both companies easy for me to boycott, where I used to purchase substantially before.

Here is the list of those who wish to gut the Constitution of its 2nd amendment:

From what I understand, people from the left consider it very chic to be on the list. I've printed it out and DO use it in my purchasing.

"So who's going to be the first Freeper to castigate Reagan for this?"

I hope no one is. President Reagan is a warm, compassionate, caring man who has never taken any pleasure in the sufferings of others no matter how much he might disagree with who or what they are. His life has been a splendid example of what Jesus meant when he told us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Please notice I use the present tense when referring to the President, not the past tense as most do. Behind the tangled mess the disease has made of his mind he's still the Gipper. And now I'm starting to tear up, dammit. I hate it when that happens.

The answer to your qyestion is like the answer to the old comedians' question: "How many men are their in the French Army?"

Answer? About half.
