...and CBS is in big, big trouble. Coming up next for those interested. Should be interesting since O'Reilly has taken a moderate position until viewing the movie.

CBS did this precisely because Reagan is dying and soon enough there will be remembrances. CBS is trying to pre-empt another generation hearing about Reagan's great achievements by seeding them with the thought that he was a stupid, oafish bigot whose shrill wife maniplated him like a puppet.
Just play some of Reagan's great speeches for 2 hours -- now that would be inspiring.

CBS has their back against the wall on this, thanks to those who have been protesting it to them, to the potential sponsors and to the media. We are winning. But we can't let up.
Write or FAX Moonves, Redstone, et al and keep the pressure up. They are on the run.

Stick a fork in CBS. It's cooked. Yeah but they're like those characters in "Night of the Living Dead", they'll just keep coming and coming anyway.

CBS and Halmark believe the public has not changed since 1970.
We take action now.

"Nancy Reagan is portrayed as Hayworth in MOMMY DEAREST".
Think you mean Joan Crawford, just FYI...

Question: How do the networks arrive at their "ratings" figures? Is it all through Nielsen and other such companies with direct hook ups to selected TVs or do they do surveys or a combination?

I know they buy third party data from companies like Tivo. Anyone with a DVR and phone connection transmitts data too.

You know, we all have joked and vented and blamed and ignored and commented and criticized this "movie" ...in one way or another, myself included.
But seriously, this really ticks me off. I just cannot take this in stride like all that other evil crap the liberals have been spewing for 30 years.
Why this? Why is this my line in the sand? Why is my Chrisitian Spirit challenged to maintain civility in light of this particular event?
Maybe because I remember being a young kid, just out of college, making $13,000 a year, looking at 20% interest rates, 15%+ mortagage rates, thinking I'm NEVER going to have a chance like my parents did.
Maybe because I remember that sinking feeling of hopelessness seeing our hostages being paraded around in Tehran like animals...nobody doing anything to save those poor people...the disaster "rescue attempt" in the desert...etc.
Maybe because I actually wondered at one point if our time (America) was over and those God-less Russians and Chinese were going to rule us one day, soon. That my Dad fought in WWII for...for THIS?.
And then came...
PRESIDENT REAGAN.
All that changed...ALL OF THAT! Confidence in America came back, the stranglehold the unions had on our businesses disappeared, I got a HUGE RAISE [can you spell t-a-x-c-u-t], the Commies were reeling, our military was on the rebound, the stock market rocketed UP, New York City began to recover [my home at the time], it was OK again to be a businessman, make money, be patriotic, talk about God, care about family.
The 60's and 70's were pronounced OVER AND OUT!
I love President Reagan as much as I love any mortal man that ever lived. He means the world to me and many people my age who were there and who remember!
How these evil and sick people (CBS, Moonves, Streisand, etc), and yes, they are evil and sick, could do this to a former President of the greatest nation on earth, our home, our beloved America, while he is dying a slow, sad, tragic death, with his undyingly loyal wife at his side the entire time...he can't defend himself, he shouldn't even have to.
It's beyond despicable.
Today I refered to every Democrat I know, to their face, as being mean. I will never refer to Democrats again, whether in person, third person, email, voice mail, snail mail, quail mail...without saying it as one word...
MEANDEMOCRAT
Rant over. Thanks to anyone who read this far.
God Bless America and God Bless President Reagan.

I heard the other day on Rush that Ronald Reagan, when he was President of the Screen Actors Guild negotiated the residuals that all the actors get today. He refused to accept the residuals himself because he believed it was a conflict of interest.

We take action now. At least twice a week I get unsolicited e-mail from Hallmark, I'll have to make sure next time they get a little note back on what I think of their company.
To: NewLand
You deserve an Attaboy for that fine post.
Attaboy!
To: NewLand
I agree with you.
This is also a way for all of us to vote for Ronald Reagan one more time. One more time for the Gipper.
Returning the favor for with faith for a man who had faith for a nation.
To: Salvation
People will see it as disrespectful to a dying President and his wife. Most of the morons who still watch Network TV will fall for this leftist BS as gospel.
People who routinely tune into "Friends" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" aren't very discerning.
CBS will broadcast this embarassing nonsense and prove to the majority of the nation that the networks are dying, and its the liberals that are killing them.
The left is self destructing.

The pictures of the guy playing Reagan looks so goofy it looks like something out of Saturday Night Live. You may be interested to learn that "the guy playing Reagan" is Mr. Barbra Streisand, himself (James Brolin).
This has got to be the same portion Drudge played on the radio when he sat in for Rush a couple weeks ago. I and others posted then how over the top and outrageous it sounded.

Thanks eddie. That means a lot to me from another veteran, fellow Georgia FReeper like you!

My pleasure!
I'm really glad this thread was here as it gave me the heads-up to see O'Reilly's comments firsthand. I wonder if CBS has any idea what they're in for if this airs...

"One more time for the Gipper." You had to do that! I held in my tears while writing that entire post...but when I read your reply, I just lost it!
Thanks and God's Blessings to you and the man "who had faith for a nation".
