mystery-ak's Mike--RR
bottom of heart | 11-3 | self

Posted on 11/03/2003 4:11:04 AM PST by hoosiermama

Mystery-ak's Mike is due home today for a two week RR. That time is being extended because they were "his kids" that were shot down yesterday in the helicopter. They'll be busy visiting families of the crash members.

Let's show this couple some good ol' FR support. Add comments, graphics, music. Ping your friends. (Don't ping mystery-ak, "The "do NOT disturb" sign is already placed on their door; they'll be busy ;~))

We're glad you are home Mike and wish you could stay. Maybe you can print this thread and others like it and take them back with you to share with the troops so they can see they are always in our hearts and prayers.

Mike, "thank you" seems woefully inadequate to express my gratitude to you and your comrades. Please accept our heartfelt support and also please share this message with everybody you know that's fighting for our country and our freedom.

WELCOME HOME MIKE AND THANK YOU. Not only for serving, but for the update on "over there." We have been saying the same about the media ourselves.

Try to keep your mind at home with your family while you are on leave. You can think about all the things that need to be done when you get back.

When you go back can you please let the "gang" know that many, many of us think and pray everyday for our military. And, how much we appreciate what they are doing, even if the Iraqis don't.

Welcome home Sgt. Mike. My Navy vet husband and I want to thank you for your sacrifice, enjoy your R&R, thanks for standing the watch [or do you tell someone else to do that now?] My husband vividly remembers all the midnight watches with coffee to keep him awake.

Many thanks to your family.

Nice and restful and doing ordinary things like watching movies, walking the dog, hugging wife and kids (even if the kids are grown men), eating ice cream, taking long hot showers, and enjoying the fall colors . . . .I hope Mike gets to do all that and more . . .

Welcome home Mike.

The Troops are well respected here, and I think of little else these days than their welfare, including yours.

Thank you for your service.

Thanks, Mike for letting us hear from you and letting us know how things REALLY are! God Bless you as you do the hard work of talking to the families whose sons paid the ultimate price so that the Iraqis may have some chance at freedom and control over their country. And God Bless you and keep you safe on your return to Iraq.
