A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

"H" is for Hillary, Who's Totally Red. If She Becomes Prez, the Republic is Dead.
|
|
"A" is Daschle, Whose Name Can be Shown To Rhyme with a Body Part for Which He is Known.
|
|
"L" is for Larry, and by That I Mean King. Of all CNN-land, He's the Silliest Thing.
|
|
"L" is for Gephardt, without "L's" in his name, 'Cause he's such a Loser and Lost without shame.
|
|
"O" is Gore because he's a big zero. Wouldn't it be scarey if he were hiding in your bureau?
|
|
|
"W" is for witch, and this brings us again To a ghost-written author with a broom up her hem.
|
|
"E" is Edwards, who got rich filings torts. Might he become Prez just 'cause he looks good in shorts?
|
|
"E" is for eternal, as in endless flames of Hell. A fate awaiting adulterers and rapists as well.
Warning: Do not click on the eyes unless you are truly prepared for the horror that awaits you.
|
|
"N" is for Nancy, as in Nancy Pelosi, Who is just as haunting as Bella Lugosi.
|
|
|
Pretty brutal, huh? Well, for surviving the thread, here's one more treat. |
|
If you'll trust me once more Please click on the witch. Then a map to carve this Will appear in a stitch!

And the scariest thing About this whole post Is the absence of typos. That'll scare some the most . . . |

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

You are correct -- one of my typos is VERRRY obvious. Sorry for the delay in responding -- was out doing family duties associated with said holiday.
I've delighted that my major typo remains scarey-ly undiagnosed by The Thin Man.
"Bella" was unintentional. As to the third typo you mention, I remain completely unaware of it!

GREAT PHOTOS!!
To: jwfiv; deadhead
LOL, thanks you two for the compliments.
jwfiv, I was wondering what sweet photo you'd find for today!
and Colleen, with a Freeper name like THAT you just HAD to come and play
sorry I'm late getting back to y'all -- just back from family/Halloween duties. whew!

Mama-Bear:

Well, I may have coined a new misspelled word -- but more importantly, and this I do claim to have done deliberately -- a got a fastball past the plate before The Thin Man even knew the ball had left my glove.
I left him that little challenge, figuring I *had* to have a typo somewhere, and hoping he wouldn't see the *big* one. :) Just hoping. Just in case.
SO THAT IF IN FACT THAT HAPPENED, HE WOULD NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT.
SERIESLY.
Repeat: He's never gonna be able to live this down.

Words cannot express my dismay! You honestly believe that I would've missed what seemed to be such a flagrant mistake?
Being the fair-minded person I am, who always gives the hostesses the benefit of the doubt, I thought I better doublecheck and look "scarey" up. This is what I found.........
scarey
adj : so scary as to cause chills and shudders; "the most terrible and shuddery...tales of murder and revenge" [syn: chilling, scary, shivery, shuddery]
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=scarey&r=67
Ha ha ha!!!!
To: The Thin Man; LadyX; Billie
Oh please. The coverup is always worse than the crime.
The fact is that you were asleep at the wheel. You were even taunted in the last stanza of the opening post to look for a typo, and all you found was an extra "l" in "Bella."
Here's a hint -- hee hee, boy am I enjoying this. Wa ha ha ha. OK, composing myself.
Here's a hint: NEXT TIME TRY THE TITLE FIRST WHEN YOU'RE PROOFREADING, EINSTEIN!!
TRICK!! You were TRICKED!!
(Good thing I don't gloat when I win, huh?)

Sorry to be so long, but I'm getting all kinds of Popup ads within FR - mail program is all right, but in FR it builds and locks up.
TMan, my Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridhed Dictionary of the English Language does *NOT* acknowledge there being a scarey.
Yours, no doubt, is from a French dictionary..:))
Freezie, the other little Halloween boo-boo is in the description of Edwards:
"E" is Edwards, who got rich filings torts.
Your finger, I suspect, got trigger happy and placed an 's' on what should have been "filing" torts.
(Didn't want you to lose sleep over it..:))

It's *not* acceptable!! LOL -- "ask Jeeves" entry is funny, though.
Much fun! thanks for playing
To: LadyX
Thanks -- I kept trying to find the third and couldn't!
To: FreeTheHostages; Calpernia; Donaeus; The Thin Man
"Thanks -- I kept trying to find the third and couldn't!" It's a curse, I tell ya!
Mom had been a schoolteacher, and with sisters 5 and 9 years older, playing school as a little one heightened my awareness of such things....gave me an over-developed 'eagle eye.'
LOL
