A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

"H" is for Hillary, Who's Totally Red. If She Becomes Prez, the Republic is Dead.
"A" is Daschle, Whose Name Can be Shown To Rhyme with a Body Part for Which He is Known.
"L" is for Larry, and by That I Mean King. Of all CNN-land, He's the Silliest Thing.
"L" is for Gephardt, without "L's" in his name, 'Cause he's such a Loser and Lost without shame.
"O" is Gore because he's a big zero. Wouldn't it be scarey if he were hiding in your bureau?
"W" is for witch, and this brings us again To a ghost-written author with a broom up her hem.
"E" is Edwards, who got rich filings torts. Might he become Prez just 'cause he looks good in shorts?
"E" is for eternal, as in endless flames of Hell. A fate awaiting adulterers and rapists as well.
Warning: Do not click on the eyes unless you are truly prepared for the horror that awaits you.
"N" is for Nancy, as in Nancy Pelosi, Who is just as haunting as Bella Lugosi.
Pretty brutal, huh? Well, for surviving the thread, here's one more treat. |
If you'll trust me once more Please click on the witch. Then a map to carve this Will appear in a stitch!

And the scariest thing About this whole post Is the absence of typos. That'll scare some the most . . . |

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Well, I found the third typo. It is even repeated several times throughout the thread and posts.
I would rather have my kids asleep though :(

In this small town, they restrict trick or treating to the hours of 6 to 8 p.m.
That's reasonable, and doesn't take up your time for several hours and have young ones out too late.
They also have an upper age limit (12 years old), so teens are prevented from getting into any destructive behavior, knowing the police will question them if they are out to just roam and trash something....can question any suspicious behavior.
The churches provide great Harvest Parties, many feeling Halloween should not be 'glorified' in any way, having to do with the occult.
When you think about it, they can wear costumes and have fun and games without "begging."
While that might appear out of step, I've come to respect it, having two grandsons (11 and 15) who attend a wonderful Christian school in West Palm Beach, where excellence and strong values are strssed, without being uptight.
They have never set foot in a public school, both parents professionals who go to great lengths to be active with them, in their studies, sports, camping and boating, etc.
There are no liberal influences in their lives, and they all were backstage in the hangar when GWB appeared in WPB just before the Presidential election.
(Kevin and Susan also teach in the teen Sunday School classes.)

"they all were backstage in the hangar when GWB appeared in WPB just before the Presidential election."What a memory they have, wonderful!
I was out for a couple of hours. When I returned, only had a total of 12 trick or treaters. All very cute. LOL, I have lots of candy left over, will bring to work on Monday. Today, most children go to parties at schools and church.
I seem to remember my Mom saying that they didn't go trick or treating on Halloween when she was a child. Something about Thanksgiving and handing out fruit?
