Poor thing you are, bankrupt and barren of heart. If Terri is in misery, why not opt to give her rehabilitation therapy to help her rise above the misery her ghoulish POS husband has placed her in? If she is unable to feel or experience her environment, what does it hurt to allow her loving parents to take care of her instead of executing her via cruel and unusual means? There has been discussion about Terri's responses and her apparent attempts at interaction with her family. I know she is severely brain damaged but, since she has had these responses to them, I'm just curious what her demeanor is when ole Mike enters her room. I wonder if her folks have tried showing her a picture of Mike to see whether there is a reaction. Perhaps that would be cruel but, then again, perhaps it would provide her a means of communicating her feelings about Mike to someone with whom she feels safe, if she is capable of it.
God bless her, her family, and all those who are doing what they can to help her.
Continuing in prayer that good will prevail...that she will be given the opportunity for therapy by good, caring professionals, that it will allow her to progress as much as is possible, and that she and her loved ones can spend whatever time is left to them on this earth together, and unmolested.

Cindy, Schiavo has already answered your questions. He says that it is essential that Terri have the "right to privacy" before HE invokes HER "right to die." See, he's got his bases covered there. So no records released, no attempt to rehabilitate Terri. Just go on with the starvation/dehydration and pay Schiavo his money "due," please mam!!!!

Because I've recently been diagnosed terminal (cancer) and because of Terri, I've been determing an advance directive. To my suprise, there is already an advance directive that forbides the withdrawl of hydration and nutrition. Meaning, there's nothing new about this at all, as I've been finding out. People are regularly being dyhydrated and starved to death in this country all the time, which is why it's such a struggle for Terri. We think it's exordinary, but it isn't.

I'm planning on making it exordinary by making sure that my advance directive is the one that makes it clear that I am *NOT* to be deprived of hydration or nutrution, or any other means to "speed me along," - even if I change my mind later because of pain. My family and friends will remind me and say no, and hug me and love me, but remember I really mean "no." Terri sshould live long after I do. I hope so!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the patient referred to was not Terri Schiavo, and that Dr. H never said to the court that he believed Terri was strangled.

That's a real good idea! Schiavo's attorney was too clever to follow where Dr. H led with the comment on strangulation.
Let's hear the doctor say what he didn't get a chance to say in court.
