In florida it is written by religious zealots who want to force a dead woman to continue living anyway. So if you believe in rule of law, you'd agree that it's not his decision anymore?
Don't worry, the more level-headed courts will strike down the legislative abortion passed by the legislature.
I guess not. What you appear to support is courts making decisions without a basis in law.

"Ah. So you do have a problem with religion. Don't take it out on Terri"
I have no problem with religion, just some of the blind people who practice it.

I have no problem with religion, just some of the blind people who practice it. Why don't you stop assuming that all those who support Terri and who voted for her bill are religious zealots?
That's a whole lot of mind-reading and claiming facts without proof right there on your own part.

For anyone who is concerned about Dr. Hammesfahr's credentials, amom did a nice post on another thread
here that should ease your minds a bit.

SCOTUS upheld the Connecticut legislature when it overruled a state court, set aside a judicial decree, and ordered a new trial in a will contest in
CALDER v. BULL, 3 U.S. 386 (1798) .

So you feel it's your day to be the pidgeon(sic)?
Frankly, I think you need some time as a statue.

What if HE (her husband) is the one that made her incapacitated?? Do you still want him to make decisions for her?? Why not let her live until an investigation is done?

In one recent overnight flurry of activity, those charged with oversight of Hospice were bombarded by FReepers with e-mails and faxes. CNN had reported that Hospice had paid Terri's bill for THREE years, and we were asking how that could be. And how could it be that a six-month Hospice program could be used for someone NOT terminally-ill.
We further questioned the activity of Attorney George Felos, then a Member of the Board of Directors of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, who arranged admittance of Terri into Hospice, at the very time he was a Director. He later resigned.
We don't know what the behind-the-scenes activity throughout Hospice has been since that barrage, but attorney Felos announced in a press conference a few days ago that Terri had been placed on Medicaid. Who paid her bills for three years? Why on Medicaid now? Relying on memory, Federal regulations state that Federal money CANNOT be used for assisted suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing. If there's one mistake I feel the Attorney from Hell has made, it's getting Terri on Medicaid ... and she's NOT terminally ill, but she's still in Hospice. If the AFH (Attorney from Hell) would recommend that Terri be taken from Hospice and moved elsewhere, we know that the Guardian from Hell doesn't have more than $50,000. It seems they would be counting on the courts to overturn Terri's Law ~ just my humble opinion.
By the way, the Florida Senate President, James King, states on his website that he's a member of the Board of Directors, Hospice.
Another by the way, now that Terri is on Medicaid, doesn't this become a Federal matter? For those who know about such things, please add your thoughts.

If you were in the same state as that lady, you wouldn't even know you were being thrown off of a bridge.I'm glad you're sure of that.
George Felos, himself, can't seem to decide whether Terri is aware of anything.
I sure wish Felos would give an overview of what things make Terri suffer and what doesn't. He makes pronouncements to the press a lot, but he doesn't really clarify things.
In one interview he'll say Terri won't feel anything if she is starved. In another interview he'll say she will "suffer" from rehydration.
It's hard to have confidence in someone who is so inconsistent in his own PR statements.

I would love to know if this is being investigated and if not, why not? Those Freepers in Florida should find out who they can call to ask questions and file complaints... You could call the Attorney General's office and ask who job it is to police Hospice. You can contact medicaid and complain. Please feel free to write letters to the editor of your papers but please get this info into the main stream!

Ever read the two Peretti Christian novels, one of them "This Present Darkness" and the other with a similar title. Felos could have stepped right out of their pages.Yes and they are EXCELLANT books btw.
I think that instead of Dr.'s reports from 13+ years ago claiming an abuse that should have been investigated by police is alot less damning than all the VERIFIABLE dr.'s reports that say that Terri would be a good canidate for rehabilitation therapy. Along with the fact that that same therapy was ordered but denied. What is hapening with the agency that was investigating this aspect? It is against her civil rights to deny her therapy that a dr has recomended without showing cause (by a physician) that it would be harmful to her. Those are also the things that should have been revisited every year in the gaurdianship report that I also heaard was not done. Ridiculous!

There have been calls going into all the offices, ruoflaw .. we just don't know what's going on behind the scenes .. keep calling. The latest FReeper blitz is to
Larry.King.Live3@turner.com with questions to ask the Guardian from Hell, who will be on LKL Monday night. If you'd like to add to the blitz, please do. Prayerfully, Larry won't be able to avoid the pressure of asking a few sensible questions ...
